Here are a few point spread picks I like for the NBA games on Friday November 20 2009. There is no such thing as a sure win but based on what I've seen so far from the NBA, I like these 3 games the most. If you want more help on gambling on sports, view my article, 6 Rules to Follow While Betting on Sports, to help increase your chances of turning a profit long term. My 3 point spread picks are the following:
Orlando Magic at
Boston Celtics -7
Pick: Magic +7
Analysis: A point spread of 7 seems like too much. In the last 9 games between these 2 teams the Magic have either won or lost by less than 7 in eight of the 9. So far this year, the Magic have an edge in rebounding, scoring and turnover. With Dwight Howard's presence in the middle, the Magic should be able to keep the score close in this high profile NBA matchup
Portland Trailblazers -8.5
at
Golden State Warriors
Analysis: The Warriors have played better since trading Stephen Jackson. Compared to Portland, the Warriors have so far scored more points per game while having a better field goal percentage. The Warriors are a terrible road team but year after year play okay at home. With a point spread of +8.5 and playing at home, they should be able to hang around and cover.
Pick: Warriors +8.5
Houston Rockets at
Atlanta Hawks -7
Analysis: The Hawks early on have one of the best records in the NBA. Statistically they have the edge in every major statistical category besides bench . They are undefeated at home and in their last 4 games in Atlanta, the Hawks have won by an average of over 16 points. With Joe Johnson, the Hawks have a go to guy. Houston, gets the most out of what they have, but I don't think they have enough talent to stick around in this game. Playing at home the Hawks should be able to cover the point spread of 7.
Pick: Hawks -7
So to recap my NBA point spread picks:
Warriors +8.5
Atlanta -7
Magic +7
Good luck to everybody in all you NBA point spread picks
