It's as if we couldn't watch the third round of the Masters. It just doesn't make any sense at all. The Wimbledon Finals are now set and did we get to see the drama surrounding the semifinals? Not at all. The problem with this is that the anticipation of the sporting event is sometimes even greater than the event itself. NBC will perhaps not have as many new viewers and fans for the finales because they decided against it.
It's a terrible decision that tennis fans will just have to live with. It's like not showing game 6 of the NBA Finals. Why don't we just not show the AFC and NFC Championship or Game 7 of the NL or AL Championship series.
It's a slap in the face to tennis. It's a double fault considering there were two matches. If NBC is not going to show it live it needs to give it up to TNT,TBS or ESPN.

Post a CommentThis was not the first time it has happened either. NBC has not shown live matches in the past. One example was the Hewitt vs. Roddick quarterfinal this year.
