NBC is ready to deliver television drama, crime drama, legal drama, comedy, action packed and much more new and returning television shows for the 2009 fall season. The new NBC television 2009 Fall shows include Trauma, Community, Mercy, The Jay Leno Show, and Parenthood. They are all set to air in September except for Parenthood, which will be delayed by 8 weeks, to accommodate Maura Turner, who has cancer, for an 8-week medical evaluation according to Prime Time Pulse. Here is the new NBC Fall 2009 television season lineup for 2009.

Monday Night NBC Fall 2009 Television Guide

NBC Fall 2009 Television Drama Series: Heroes (returning show)

The NBC television drama series, Heroes will be returning for its fourth season. On Monday, September 21, 2009, you can watch the Heroes two-hour season premiere at 8/7 CT. You can watch some of the episodes of season three on the NBC Heroes website at http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/. Heroes first premiered on September 25, 2009 which is an American science fiction television drama series that was created by Tim Kring. According to Zap2it, Madeline Zima will be joining the cast as Gretchen who is Claire's quirky roommate and according to BBC News, Prison Break star Robert Knepper will be joining the cast and will be playing a new villain.

NBC Fall 2009 Television Drama Series: Trauma (new show)

Trauma is the new NBC television action-packed drama with first responder paramedics who have the most dangerous job in their medical profession. The series is about a San Francisco General trauma team who are the first ones on the scene to many emergencies. They travel by land, by sea and even by air to reach their victims in time to save their lives. Executive producer, Peter Berg, produces this NBC series.

According to NBC, the flight medic for the Angel Rescue 2 team is a cross between a genius and a madman. His name is Reuben (Cliff Curtis) and they call him Rabbit. He survived the worst rescue disaster in San Francisco's history. Marisa (Aimee Garcia) is an Iraqi war vet who has street smarts and she doesn't take any crap from anyone, especially her partner Rabbit. The caretaker and lifesaver, Nancy (Anastasia Griffith) has the gift for medicine and has an MD. She graduated from med school to make her doctor dad proud, but turned around and became a paramedic instead. Cameron (Derek Luke) is the paramedic half of Medic 78 and is a man of faith and conviction. Dr. Joseph Saviano (Jamey Sheridan) is the head of the San Francisco City Hospital. He is trained to be detached from his patients. He sees everything, remembers everything, yet appears to be affected by nothing. Tyler (Kevin Rankin) is the EMT half of SFFD 78. He has been in San Francisco the longest and yet has done the job in almost every major city in the United States. Glenn (Tyler Kinney) is who Nancy is looking for in a new EMT partner for her rig, Medic 114. Trauma will be aired on Mondays at 9/8 CT on NBC television network. NBC Fall 2009 Television Comedy Series: The Jay Leno Show (new show)

Jay Leno will be having his own television show that is similar to The Tonight Show. The Jay Leno Show will be airing on NBC television network five nights a week. The show will be on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10/9 CT for one hour each of the five nights. The Jay Leno Show is scheduled to premiere on September 14, 2009 and according to NBC, Jay-Z will be performing with Rihanna and Kanye West on the premiere episode. NBC Fall 2009 Television Drama Series: Mercy (new show)

Mercy is a new NBC television one-hour drama series with the setting that takes place in a hospital. According to NBC, Veronica (Taylor Schilling) is a nurse who just recently returned from a tour in Iraq to Mercy Hospital and she knows more than any other resident combined in regards to medicine. She deals with the daily trauma with her two nurses, Sonia (Jaime Lee Kirchner) and Chloe (Michelle Trachtenberg) inside and even outside of the hospital. Dr. Chris Sands (James Tupper) and Dr. Harris (James Le Gros) are two of the doctors at Mercy Hospital. Also in the Mercy NBC drama series is Mike (Diego Klattenhoff), and Nurse Angel (Guillermo Diaz). The NBC television drama series Mercy will be aired on Wednesdays at 8/7 CT on NBC television network. NBC Fall 2009 Television Crime Drama Series: Law & Order: SVU (returning show)

The NBC crime drama television show, Law & Order: SVU will be returning for its 11th season. The crime drama show will premiere on NBC television network, Wednesday, September 23, 2009, 9/8 CT. This show was originally a spin-off of the crime drama Law & Order. Law & Order: SVU is an American police television series about the Special Victims Unit in a fictional version of the 16th Precinct of the New York City Police Department. NBC Fall 2009 Television Comedy Series: Community (new show)

Community is a new NBC television half hour comedy series that is produced by executive producers, Russ Krasnoff and Gary Foster and directed by Joe and Anthony Russo who also directed Arrested Development. According to NBC, Jeff (Joel McHale) is a lawyer who is very gifted at persuasion and hardly working. His college degree end of being invalidated and he has to earn a new one at the community college. Chuck (Chevy Chase) is a man whose life experiences have brought him infinite wisdom. Britta (Gillian Jacobs) is a 28-year old dropout, Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) is a sassy middle-aged divorcee, Abed (Danny Pudi) is a pop culture junkie, Annie (Alison Brie) plays a high-strung perfectionist, and Troy (Donald Glover) who is a former high school football and the Spanish Professor. Community will be aired on Thursdays at 8/7 CT on NBC television network. NBC Fall 2009 Television Comedy Series: Parks and Recreation (returning show)

The NBC television comedy series, Parks and Recreation will be returning for its 2nd season. The new season will premiere on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 8:30/7:30 CT. Parks and Recreation was co-created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur who are part of the team on the television show The Office. The NBC comedy series 30 Rock will be returning for its 4th season and will premiere on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 9:30/8:30 CT. Tina Fey created the NBC television show, which takes place behind the scenes of a fictional live sketch comedy series depicted as airing on NBC. The name 30 Rock refers to the address of the GE building where the NBC studio is located at which is 30 Rockefeller Plaza. NBC Fall 2009 Television Legal Drama Series: Law & Order (returning show)

The NBC police procedural and legal drama television series Law & Order, will premiere on its new time slot for its 20th season on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 8/7 CT. Law and Order debuted on September 13, 1990. The series is set in New York and is about the professional lives of several police officers and prosecutors who represent the public interest in the criminal justice system. The NBC drama television series, Southland will be premiering its 2nd season on Friday, September 25, 2009 at 9/8 CT. According to E-Online, there will be some "creative adjustments" to the show. They are going to focus on Regina King and Ben McKenzie who are the two sets of officers and detective and focus on crimes and how they come together. New NBC Television Drama Series: Parenthood

Parenthood is a new one-hour NBC drama television series that was suppose to debut in fall, but has been pushed back to mid-season according to Prime Time Pulse. They pushed it back to accommodate Maura Tierney, who has cancer, for an 8-week medical evaluation. The NBC series has an all-star cast that includes Peter Krause, Maura Tierney, Craig T. Nelson, Dax Shepard, Bonnie Bedelia, Monica Potter, and Erika Christensen. The NBC television drama series Parenthood was inspired by the 1989 comedy movie "Parenthood" starring Steve Martin and Mary Steenburgen. According to NBC, the new drama series is about the colorful and imperfect Braverman family. Sarah (Maura Tierney), who is a financially strapped single mother, decides to uproot her two children, Amber (Mae Whitman) and Drew (Miles Heizer) and leave her Fresno apartment and return home to her parents and siblings in Berkely, California. When she gets there she is greeted by her headstrong father, Zeek (Craig T. Nelson) and a very strong mother, Camille (Bonnie Bedelia) who are trying to deal with their marital problems, and her three siblings who have many issues going on in their own lives that they are trying to deal with. It is a family reunion that you don't want to miss. The four siblings are sharing the same headaches, heartaches, and the very happiness of Parenthood. If you liked the film Parenthood in 1989, you will certainly enjoy the new NBC drama television series, especially when the executive producers are Ron Howard and Brian Grazer.
