NBC Fall Lineup 2010

New Comedies and Dramas Highlight the New Schedule from NBC

After what can only described as a disaster of a season for NBC, the network has licked its wounds and finalized their new season schedule. With big names like J.J. Abrams and Jerry Bruckheimer involved and a back to basics approach, the network is hoping everyone forgets about the failure of "The Jay Leno Show."

On Mondays, bubble show "Chuck" has been renewed and will be back for more adventures, followed by two new dramas. The first is "The Event," a conspiracy thriller that some critics have compared to the FOX show "24." It is followed by "Chase" from Jerry Bruckheimer. It follows a team of U.S. Marshals as they hunt the country's worst criminals.

The Tuesday lineup has shows familiar to NBC viewers with "The Biggest Loser" and the family drama "Parenthood."

Wednesdays starts with the new series "Undercovers." The show revolves around a married couple who are secretly spies for the FBI. It's followed by "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." The night ends with a new show that may be a lot like an old show. "Law & Order: Los Angeles" takes the time slot that the original show had for most of its time on the air. As you can tell by the title, it takes place in Los Angeles.

Thursday nights are all comedy. "Community," "30 Rock," "The Office," are all back, followed by new comedy "Outsourced" and the hour long comedy "Love Bites." "Parks and Recreation" will return later in the season.

Fridays are a mix of reality, news and drama. "Who Do You Think You Are?" starts the night and will split time with "School Pride," a series about rebuilding schools in a community. Newsmagazine "Dateline NBC" continues in its normal time slot. The final show of the week is "Outlaw," a courtroom drama starring Jimmy Smits as a former U.S. Supreme Court justice.

Saturdays will have repeats of programming from the week and Sundays in the fall will have NFL football, starting with "Football Night In America."

Gone from the schedule are the once high flying "Heroes," medical dramas "Trauma" and "Mercy," and the original (and still the best) "Law & Order."

Nothing there that appeals to me. I guess I'll stick with cable.

Oh, I see Mary's back. Love these lineups. This one won't drag me away from CBS though! Thanks!
