Last night (10/8) Nerd Herd's leader Chuck found himself competing heavily for the Buy More job of assistant manager. With only a day to handle things, Chuck's boss ordered him to prove his worth and fix all the computers in the storage room. There's a major problem though. Chuck spies a newspaper article about a murder in the art world and he instantly recognizes the painting. Now that more data's been recovered from his brain, CIA agent Sarah and NSA agent Casey must give Chuck his first undercover job. The painting in question is being shown that night and a notorious weapons dealer is going to be there. Only Chuck can identify this evil doer.
Casey, being the fun guy he is, tells Chuck he needs to learn to do the tango, however. The only person Chuck can get to give him quick lessons are his sister's Dudley-Do-Right like boyfriend. Chuck goes through with it and later learns it was not really necessary, Casey just wanted to rib him a little.
Back at Buy More, Chuck's team realize that they must fix the computers or face up to the other assistant manager contender whose first role of business will be to ensure they are working without any breaks and fun time. They get set to work only Chuck's best friend winds up locking himself in the room with all of the computers and only the assistant manager wanna-be's possess the keys. With an intense fear of computers, his friend is stuck for the night in the least favorable of situations.
At the art show, Chuck spies the weapon's dealer and quickly points him out to Sarah and Casey. Meanwhile, he's told to stay put and finds himself invited to tango by a very sexy foreign woman. Chuck soon realizes that she is the weapons dealer and he's in hot water once again. Outside on the roof, Casey and Sarah learn that the man they've now apprehended is, in fact, a British agent. Knowing Chuck's in trouble, they rush to find him.
Chuck is taken to a hotel room and interrogated. He does his best to hide his identity and when she asks him to tell her all about repairing computers to prove that's really who he is, he does so. She's convinced but still has to kill him. Casey and Sarah make it just in time, but the weapons dealer escapes with her goons and vow to get Chuck later.
Chuck goes home and then realizes that his best friend needs help. He goes to the store and opts to put in an all-nighter repairing the remaining computers. His boss is highly impressed and Chuck's competitor for the management role shows beer cans to try to get him in trouble, only the boss blows him off and says sometimes a beer is necessary. So the jerk's plan fails and Chuck comes out looking good again!
As the store opens, Chuck spots the two goons come into the store and hides. His jerkish co-worker is having none of it and tries to point him out, but Chuck escapes. Casey and Sarah wind up doing some serious battle but they manage to apprehend the bad guys and Chuck's day is once again saved.
