Stephanie picked case number seven as her lucky case, but right off the bat case number seven didn't seem so lucky. Her first round revealed $25,000, $25, $300, $100,000, $5, $1 and the million dollars. Of course Stephanie turned down the banker's $9,000 offer and kept on playing.
Stephanie's second round went better than the first. The cases she chose in the second round revealed $100, $400, $1000, $50 and $200. Because this round revealed lower amounts the banker offered her $21,000. After a cheer from her squad Stephanie said, "no deal."
By the third round four huge amounts remained on the board, and the banker offered her $74,000 this time. Stephanie turned down the offer and kept playing. But little did she know her fourth round would prove to be unlucky. In the fourth round Stephanie revealed $750,000, $.01 and $300,000. Yes, that's right, Stephanie knocked out two of the four huge amounts, and the banker's offer dropped to $48,000. Feeling the pressure Stephanie looked to her support team for help. Her mom told her to take the deal, and her husband told her to keep playing. Of course Stephanie still had to go home with her husband no matter what happened so she chose to listen to him.
At the end of the fourth round Stephanie felt the odds were in her favor, so she turned down the banker's offer of $35,000. The next case she revealed was $5,000, and this raised the banker's offer to $69,000. "Deal or no deal?" Howie asked Stephanie. "Deal," Stephanie answered. And it turned out to be a very smart move, because the case that Stephanie picked in the beginning only had $750 in it.
Next to play was Daniel Miller, a U.S. Navy Chief. Daniel's supporters were his wife, a co-worker and his debate coach from high school. In addition, his co-worker held in his hands, some more support for Daniel, but I wouldn't call a magic eight ball reliable support, would you? Although, Daniel's co-worker seemed to think the eight ball was reliable.
Daniel chose case number three to be his lucky case. During Daniel's first round of play he revealed $100, $10, and there it was, the million dollars, followed by $200,000, $50 and $.01 (well at least he knocked the penny out of play). Before making his offer the banker said, "I like a man in uniform, but I can't respect a man who knocks a million out in the first round." And with that said, the banker's offer was $13,000; at least it was more than he offered Stephanie in her first round, and she too knocked the million out right off the bat. "No deal," Daniel said.
In his second round Daniel revealed the $500,000, $750,000, $5, $75 and $50,000. His offer from the banker didn't go up much, but it went up a littleā¦the banker offered him $17,000. When he turned to his support team his co-worker asked the eight ball what Daniel should do, and his co-worker told Daniel that the eight ball said to say "no deal." I guess Daniel thought the eight ball was reliable enough, because he said, "no deal."
In his third round the eight ball was proving to be reliable. Daniel knocked out $1,000, $100,000, $5,000 and $750. The banker raised the offer to $31,000. "No deal," Daniel said.
Daniel seemed to be on a roll now. This time he knocked out $25,000, $300 and $25. Howie answered the phone to find out what the banker's offer would be this time, and after hanging up the phone he told Daniel the offer went way up! Everyone was anxious to find out just what the offer was, but Howie said we'll find out Wednesday night. Shucks, I hate waiting, don't you?
If you want to know what the banker's next offer is tune into NBC Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. (EST) to find out.
