We have also seen that the first hero death was Eden, at her own hands before Sylar was able to take her power. But rumor has it there are more deaths to come. We have also seen a possible future where it is Peter that inadvertently causes the nuclear destruction that will destroy New York City. But will it come to pass?
Other spoilers:
1) A new character named Claude will be joining the show in the Jan. 22nd episode. He's been around a long time, has powers yet unseen and will be someone we will grow to love. According to producer Tim Kring, he will have the power of invisibility and will become a mentor to Peter (so, guessing it is not Peter that will die) and help him control his powers.
2) George Takei (Mr. Sulu of ";Star Trek" fame), will be joining the cast as Hiro's father.
3) One hero will become a traitor, and another will join HRG.
4) Tim Kring has also said that heroes will come and go and "will reappear". With a time traveling Hiro, this certainly adds a whole new dimension to that statement.
5) Peter is going to lose Simone but gain a ton of powers, making Sylar look not-so-scary after all.
6) A hero will hold a family hostage though the why of this situation is unknown, speculation says it has something to do with Sylar and possibly Peter.
7) Peter falls into a coma after absorbing too many powers at once.
8) We will learn something very important about Claire and possible familial ties she has with another hero.
9) In the fall finale (spoilers here if you haven't yet watched it): Nathan is not running away when it looks as though Peter is about to explode, and Claire does approach him momentarily. There is certainly a chance for Peter and the city to escape destruction if he is able to call on Claire's powers of regeneration and Nathan's ability to fly (recall if you will Isaac's painting of a glowing red man flying)
10) Hiro will find his sword.
Many changes and new characters will be joining the cast of "Heroes" when it returns January 22nd. Stay tuned!
