NCAA Football 11 - a Completely New Level

Will I Ever Be Able to Watch TV Again?

Recently buying the NCAA Football 11 for my fiancé, I began to wonder if doing so was a mistake. Upon walking in the door each day from work, the game seems to take precedence to my usual kiss hello. With the price being around $60, it is obviously worth the price. On the other hand, we traded in old games at Game Stop in order to purchase this game.

Graphically, the shadowing of the players has improved. These enhancements have made the game seem more realistic. It is to be expected that the graphics will improve each year with each new edition, but these seem to be substantially better. The ESPN game day logos interlaced in the game play replays are extremely realistic; a vast improvement from previous versions. The ease of sideline plays have improved due to upgrades in the animations.

On the negative side, the voices of Kirk Herbstreet and the other announcers have not changed. Nor has their dialogue. It is mundane and mimics previous versions. There has been no improvement on the commentary. Additionally, the helmets of the players seem to have a glass layer over them, giving off this thick, shiny glare. They are distracting and unrealistic looking. Another con to the game would be the graphics being off when a player clips another player. For example, when a player tackles another player, his arm seems to go through the other players' body.

In summation, this game has vastly improved from previous versions. As my fiancé has said, "Any girl unfamiliar with playing this game could pick up the controller and play this game with great ease". The game is geared towards any college football fan of all ages. It does not appeal to a specific age group or gender.
