J.C. Grant
This article lists the NCAA Men's Basketball Champions from 1939 to present: it provides each championship game score, Most Outstanding Player (MOP) of the NCAA tournament, championship coach, and overall record of the championship team.

Seven schools have won the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship three or more times: UCLA (11), Kentucky (7), Indiana (5), North Carolina (5), Duke (4), Kansas (3), and Connecticut (3).

Seven schools have won back-to-back NCAA championships: UCLA seven times along with Cincinnati, Duke, Florida, Kentucky, Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State), and San Francisco.

Four schools have finished the season undefeated: UCLA four times as well as Indiana, North Carolina, and San Francisco.

Four coaches have won more than three NCAA championships: John Wooden (10), Adolph Rupp (4), Mike Krzyzewski (4), Bobby Knight (3) and Jim Calhoun (3). Eight other coaches have won the NCAA championship twice: Denny Crum, Dean Smith, Billy Donovan, Roy Williams, Ed Jucker, Phil Woolpert, Henry Iba, and Branch McCracken.

Five players have been voted Most Outstanding Player (MOP) of the NCAA tournament two or more times: Lew Alcindor (now Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) (3); Bill Walton, Jerry Lucas, Alex Groza, and Bob Kurland.

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship games with the largest and smallest margins of victory came in consecutive years. UNLV thrashed Duke by a score of 103-73 in 1990; Duke then went on to win back-to-back championships. In 1989, Michigan defeated Seton Hall by just one point in an overtime game.

The lowest scoring game since the 35 second shot clock was instituted occurred in 2011: Connecticut and Butler scored just 94 total points.
