NCAA Team MySpace Layouts to Celebrate College Bowl Games

Jesse Mathewson
Everyone has his or her favorite football teams. (Go, Arizona Wildcats!) Unfortunately, the Wildcats finished 8-5 for the season; however, they have been invited to play the Las Vegas Bowl! So how do I put together a MySpace page with my team's pictures on it?

When I found out the team was going to the Las Vegas Bowl, I realized I needed more pizazz on my page, so I went to MySpace Layout Generator to set it up, for "free." It is a simple set up that allows you to adjust colors and upload your favorite team colors, or player's pictures! The first page you come too here sets your background, you first adjust colors than set up your background image. The easiest way to do this is to find the image you want by Googling it, set your Google page to look for pictures in the upper left hand side of the page. (or click here for Google picture finder) Than type in what you want to find just as you would normally do. Once you locate the picture you want as a background enhance it by clicking directly on it, you want only this picture to show up in the search window. Now right click with your mouse, and save this picture to your files. Next, go to Photobucket or Flickr or whichever online picture sharing setup you use. I use both of these as file share set-ups for pictures; Photobucket works the easiest, as the links are readily made available. With both of these "free" is the operative word. Upload your favorite team or player picture to the site of your choice and use the link provided to place in the MySpace Layout Generator. Now, I recommend using fixed as a background as moving sometimes takes to much time loading and since you want people to view your team or player choice fixing it makes it easier to load.

Next, we go to sections using the tabs set across the top. Now I know some of you are University of Missouri fans, or worse Texas Tech Raider fans, however this does not change how you set it up. You want each section to show up well, and you want to be able to see the lettering as well as the background picture you chose. The great thing about this generator is that it shows you systematically what your page is going to look like. Make sure you change the headings portion to have everything show up well, and than it is on to your main text. Adjust this and you are ready to generate your "free" MySpace layout. Once you generate it go to your MySpace page and go to the edit profile button which should be located under "profile" on the top bar of your home page. Once in there paste the code they gave you into the "about me" section making sure that you take the other code out. Press the "save changes" button and you have done it, now brag about your page to all of your friends and go look for some theme music to add to your player. After all any true fan is going to go all the way!

I don't know much about MySpace or Arizona football. I did watch the Arizona vs. ASU game though. It looks like a cool place out there.

Your posts are always full of info. I don't watch any games(I am a girl who only has one "DUCKS" team) that I support. Thank you for sharing your stuff. Roberta Baxter
