NCAA Tournament 2010 Predictions of President Obama

Robert Dougherty
The NCAA tournament 2010 predictions were made by all the experts. But NCAA tournament 2010 predictions are also for office workers - including the biggest office worker of all. President Obama filled out his own presidential bracket for ESPN last year, and managed to do pretty well, finishing in the 80th percentile. What's more, he managed to pick the national champion in North Carolina, although everyone figured they would win at the end. But for the NCAA tournament 2010 predictions, it's harder for President Obama and the rest to pick a champion - although the first fan gave it his best shot.

The president filled his full NCAA bracket for the second year in a row on behalf of ESPN and their annual competition. Yesterday, his Final Four picks were leaked, and they were fairly conventional. He didn't pick anyone below a 2 seed to make it to Indianapolis and picked three Wildcats to make it there.

Obama's NCAA tournament 2010 predictions were fairly safe in picking Kansas for the Final Four. But he picked the Kansas State Wildcats to meet them for the fourth time in the national semifinal, instead of picking Syracuse in the West. He also picked a Kentucky vs. Villanova semifinal on the other side of the bracket.

It seems the president doesn't have the same questions about Kentucky's youth as others. And instead of picking Duke, Obama has faith that Villanova will get hot again and go back to the Final Four.

Today, the rest of President Obama's NCAA tournament 2010 predictions were unveiled. He picked Murray State, Cornell and Siena for first round upsets - though most see them as possible upset picks. He picked hometown Georgetown for the Elite Eight - the only teams other than a 1 or 2 seed to make it that far in his bracket.

Finally, the national title game will have Kansas vs. Kentucky, and then the Jayhawks will win it all again, according to President Obama. It is a straight chalk bracket for the president, although it worked for him last year, at least at the end.

In addition, President Obama didn't limit his NCAA tournament 2010 predictions to the men. He also filled out a women's bracket, picking Connecticut, Notre Dame, Stanford and Tennessee for the Final Four. He will likely pick Connecticut, but since every single pundit is picking them to win it all, President Obama would once more take the safe route - which sounds familiar to disgruntled liberals.

If the President is right, it will be a 1 vs. 2 title game, which might be the most ideal of the NCAA tournament 2010 predictions. This has been an unpredictable year, yet most everyone is going chalk, including the president. Their conventional picks will start to go very right or very wrong tomorrow.
