NCFC V Southampton

Bryan Gunn may have been in charge of Norwich against Barnsley, but that was as the caretaker manager. This time Gunn is the permanent Norwich manager and he will have Ian Crook alongside him. He will also have John Deehan viewing the proceedings from the Director's Box. Southampton sacked their manager last week and will have a new man in charge.

Gunn will hope that Norwich continue to play like they did against Barnsley. After such a convincing win it's unlikely there will be any changes. In fact, Bryan Gunn has gone as far as hinting that the team will be unchanged. That in itself is no guarantee that changes will not occur. Glenn Roeder earned himself quite a reputation for making unnecessary changes.

To be fair, with such a thin squad Gunn has only limited options. The only possible change in my opinion would be dropping Russell back into the midfield and bringing in Lupoli or Cort. This is a game Norwich will want to make sure that they win to keep distance from the relegation zone. Quite simply, this is a relegation six pointer.

Match Prediction

I think Norwich will find this tough going, but if they do the things they're good at well they should win. I do worry, if Norwich don't take their chances Southampton could take a point.
