Our day to leave is getting oh so slowly near
Happy times ahead for us albeit with a tinge of fear
On our leaving a flicker of sadness, a stray tear
No way Jose, do you hear
Happy times ahead for us albeit with a tinge of fear
On our leaving a flicker of sadness, a stray tear
No way Jose, do you hear
The business has now sold
So our journey now almost ready to unfold
Some have said it foolish, others think we are so bold
One thing is for certain, once we arrive there we will not be cold
Our hopes, our dreams, are to adapt with some ease
A new future awaits us, without the annual big winter freeze
I promise I will write often, keep all informed with my series
About our new life in sunny Belize

Post a CommentExcellent poem! I hope all is going well.
A very exciting time. Stressful, but in a good way. I'm sure the two of you will be very successful and happy. We'll be eager to hear all about it.
Good luck, sir! My step-dad and his first wife were missionaries in Belize back in the '80's. It is beautiful, but a WHOLE lot different than here (I know; "well, DUH!). Once again, good luck on yer new adventure, my friend!
How is Belize? Great poem
Belize! Wow! Well, I hope it's as wonderful as you are! :O)
Belize share all your adventures, John! :) I bet there will be plenty to tell. All I want to know is how WARM it is there! Best wishes to you and the family in your new journey!
May this bring you both joy.
Belize seems like a wonderful estination for retirement; and I am sure you both did lots of research before deciding. It is an exciting time...and for obvious reasons, bittersweet. Bon Voyage!
Great about when to go- time is drawing near.
best wishes
