NECA to Release Second Wave of Ninja Turtles Toys

First Ever TMNT Figures for Adults

Jrebound
Many Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans have been aware of NECA's line, but what they do not know is that they are planning to release the first ever comic book based Shredder figure. These figures are nothing like the hard plastic models that were released in the 1980s and 90s. In fact these figures are made out of a vinyl material that has never on a Ninja Turtle before period. Part of NECA's second wave of TMNT has already been released for hobby shops to sell and that means the Mousers and April O'Neal are available at online shops such as www.eBay.com and www.bigbadtoystore.com. These figures tend to go for 14 to 26 dollars each, but due to their rarity, they can go as high as forty dollars. The Shredder can only be preordered online along with the foot soldier and the foot ninja. These figures will be released on the second quarter of 2009 which is good news because the second wave was close to being cancelled by NECA due to the Playmates Toys Company releasing their own version of the comic based Ninja Turtles line.

NECA's first wave of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is unfortunately almost non-existent at online shops, but you may have a decent chance on snatching these figures at your local hobby shops. The first wave consisted of all four turtles that came with their own accessories. Some of these accessories include pieces that allow the collector to form a scene/diorama from the comic books. Donatello came with a TCRI ooze canister, Raphael a large lamp post, Michelangelo a few shuriken, and Leonardo a fire hydrant. These figures can cost a pretty penny because NECA has stopped producing them, but the tube version of these figures can still be found on eBay. NECA Raphael is of course the rarest turtle of the four which is why he sells for seventy to eighty dollars. Michelangelo on the other hand tends to sell for at least twenty two dollars because he is the most common. I always thought Mike was the second best one because he was the only turtle with a happy smirk on his face unlike the other three. Donatello is my personal favorite because he is the only turtle with a relaxed face.
