Need Cards?

Jacquie Lawson to the Rescue

Elizabeth J. Baldwin
Cards not sent yet? You do know Christmas is less than a week away now, don't you? Rather than panic and develop writer's cramp I have a suggestion for many of those on your Chirstmas card list. Go to www.jacquielawson.com and subscribe to her e card service. For less than a box of Christmas cards and the postage to send them you will have cards for all occasssions, all year round.

Though I will warn you that Jacquie Lawson's cards are addictive. For example I was really with it this year and sent my cards out the first of December. Only this morning I got a wonderful Jacquie Lawson card from a friend. It was so awesome I just had to share it. So everyone on the list (except my friend) got that card too.

Okay, so I went a little nuts there. I'll just bet most people on my list won't mind at all, becasue her cards are so wonderful.

I started subscribing to Jacquie Lawson's e card service about 2002 or 2003 and I still consider the modest subscription one of the best buys around.

In 2000 Jacquie Lawson made a special Christmas card, Christmas Cottage, and sent it to her friends. She was amazed when emails started pouring in from all over the world telling her how much people loved her card. She created more cards in 2001 and got similar results. By 2002 she had a modest e card service established. This card is still available, but it has been joined by dozens of other wonderful cards for all occasions.

Chudley, a chocolate labXspaniel, has been the star of many of her early cards. Over time he has been joined by many other animal friends as well as Teddy bears, paintings, flowers and other fancy stuff.

Her modest beginnings have grown into a business that now has several employees and brings pleasure to people all over the world.

My grandchildren look forward to getting her puzzle cards for their birthday every year. My fellow animal lovers look forward to her latest cards featuring various animals. Another series of cards feature painting that grow as you watch.

By the way, Jacquie Lawson really does live in a cottage in England with Chudley and crew.
