First of all, you need to decide where you're going to want to store your garden hose. Usually, in most cases this will be not too far away from the actual water spicket itself. I mean, after all, who really wants to store the hose far away from the spicket only to have to go back and forth to hook up the hose to it everytime they want to use it, right?
Now, the next thing that you need to know is that there are several if not several hundred different types of a garden hose hanger that you can choose from. Do you want something wall mountable? Do you want to be able to put in on a cart with wheels so that you can wheel it around long distances? These are all things that you need to think about. How big is your yard? How much hose will you be putting on the actual garden hose hanger itself? Go talk a walk around the outside of your home, in your front and back yard, in your garden, scan the area and look around and start to think exactly what your individual specific needs are.
If you go with a wall mountable garden hose hanger type of storage unit, you'll need to consider if the area where you want to hang it will be able to support the weight of the hanger itself as well as the hose. You'll also want to make sure the hanger you purchase is designed to hold the length of the hose you have or will be buying. Trust me, this advice will save you a lot of time and headaches.
In addition to a wall mountable type unit, you also have the freestanding garden hose hanger. This type of unit works great as well. Basically what it is, is a hanger that you can stake anywhere that you want to. It's usually made of out some heavy duty steel and will last a lifetime because of it. If you have a big garden area or a field where you grown crops, you can just stick it out there and never have to worry about it, no matter what mother nature brings. Everyone's needs are different and you need to figure out yours.
Besides the freestanding units, there are also, garden hose reel carts avaiable, too. These carts are quite convenient and handy. In fact, it's the type of garden hose storage that I personally use myself. Depending on the model you use, they can hold up to a hefty length of 150' of garden hose. Now, that's a lot of hose if I do say so myself! These are great because the cart has wheels and a handle that you can use to roll it from place to place. They also keep the cord tangle free because the cord is wrapped around it in a neat fashion. You simply unroll the length you need when you need it and just wrap it back up when you're done. Can't get any easier than that. Of course, if you really want an easy kind-free solution to a garden hose, you should consider a coiled garden hose! These are the greatest things since sliced bread in my opinion! They are virtually kink-free. Never worry about another kink in your water hose again, seriously!
Well, I hope that I've given you some insight as to the various types of choices that you have when considering a garden hose hanger. If you want to see some really great brands and models at some unbeatable prices, consider checking out the website Garden Hose Hanger. You'll be glad you did!
