This is a Live CD edition, which means the system boots from the CD-ROM, and runs off that CD. It's slower than molasses to start up and get some programs, such as the painting app, to work. Some programs absolutely did not start up in Live CD, such as CinePaint and GIMP, and this may be a result of too little memory. FireFox worked fine, but it was slow (again, LiveCD mode results in a slow system).

LiveCD installs are generally clean installs, and backing up your data is MANDATORY - LiveCD installs WILL erase data.

The built-in Wacom support was tested successfully on a MATRIX 2020 Pentium computer from 2003 with 2GB of RAM and a Dell Inspiron 546S, purchased this year (2011), with a 2.80 GHz AMD CPU and 1.75GB of RAM. Neither system had any problems with the speed of the actual tablet. The Bamboo's pen buttons worked as well, with absolutely no problems.
