Materials for Cereal Box Treats:

Single serving cereal box
8 ½" x 11" opaque colored paper
8 ½" x 11" white cardstock
Black inkpad
Colored pencils
Double-sided tape
Double-sided foam tape
Hole Punch
Ribbon
Stampin' Up Best Fiends Stamp set

DIRECTIONS:

1. Do not remove flaps from the top of the cereal box. Use double sided tape to adhere them to the inside of the box. This will add a little stability.

2. Place cereal box in center of opaque paper and fold paper around to form crease lines. The bottom of the box should be 1" from the bottom of the paper. Fold the overhang to conform to the bottom of the box. Mark the top edge of the box by pinching the paper over the edge.

3. Remove paper and fold on crease lines to sharpen them for later use. Be sure to take folds all the way to the edges of the paper. Be sure to fold the pinch for the top of the box as well. I also added a crease, in the opposite direction, halfway between the creases that created the sides above the top of the box. This crease began at the top of the paper but did not go past the fold denoting the top of the box. This will help you fold it in and over like a lunch bag for closing.

4. Flatten the paper and on the right side stamp the spider and boo on each of the side panel areas.

5. Cut 2" x 3" piece of white cardstock. Stamp monster in black in the middle and color with pencils. On another piece stamp and color bat, trim leaving a thin white edge all around.

6. Place double sided tape on the backside of the page in the front, back, and side panel areas. It is best to put a strip of tape right along the edge that will be the overlap on the back.

7. Use double sided tape to close up the bottom as if wrapping a present.

8. Use the double-sided foam tape on the back of the monster image and bat. Center the monster on the front of the box and place the bat in the top right corner on the back.

9. Fill with treats.

10. To close, tuck in sides and fold over. Punch two holes through all thickness and lace ribbon through. Tie bow or knot.
