The good things is that for the first time ever and I do mean ever is that gamers could actually play a good arcade perfect port of any Neo Geo game the way they were meant to be and they don't even had to shell out over six hundred bucks to buy an expensive Neo Geo console in able experience it. The only console required is a Wii and that's it, this is much better than what it was in 1990 when all things Neo Geo are only for the wealthy, now gamers of all ages wealthy or not could afford to play it. Another good news is that no longer could gamers had to deal with big arcade stick or hard to mash buttons, Neo Geo games on the VC can now for the first time be play on an actual control pad using any of Nintendo's controller options. All Neo Geo games supports all three controller formats and help breath a few light into those thousands of fighting games or shooter games. Also for the first time ever, you gamers don't have to worry about going out to buy an actual cartridge or even saving a few hundred buck for a game because the Neo Geo title that will be available on the VC are easy to find and very affordable to purchase which they are for about 900 Wii Points ($9) compare to what they were in 1990 where all of those games are very rare to even be seen on the market and even if one is found, almost if not all of them are super expensive, heck the cost of one Neo Geo game cartridge even double the today price of one GameCube console. Be thankful that Nintendo made a Wii and the VC, because of it, the Neo Geo and its entire library of legendary arcade titles now had a home to live in and gamers who once didn't had a chance to play them could finally fulfill that opportunity.
So the Neo Geo is here for the Wii and its price for the games are cheaper than it was back then, so what's the bad news. Well, if you are a Neo Geo collector (which some of you might), chances are you might have waste a lot of money investing in your Neo Geo console or all your Neo Geo games because of this since many gamers actually save money with the Wii instead of an actual Neo Geo. Also the other bad news is that the VC only updated new games once every week and from different game consoles of the six available, the chances of a new VC game coming out for the Neo Geo is 2 out of 6, two as in two games per week out of the six available consoles if not all of them. To rely only for a new Neo Geo title to pop up in the VC is rare and if gamers want proof of that they could look no further than the N64 library which only saw like four to five titles at the VC instead of ten or so like the NES, Sega Genesis, Super NES, and Turbo Graphix-16. If true Neo Geo gamers really want an actual game to enjoy they had only two choices, go out and buy the expensive console and games or they could keep it at the cheap Wii console and play the waiting game by waiting to see if the good classics like Samurai Shodown, Last Blade, or Metal Slug ever appear on the VC ready for download.
So here are all that is to know about the return of the Neo Geo and where it's heading. Be glad that it return the way it is but also be warned because it will be a matter of time before gamers could download any and every great Neo Geo games there ever was. Also be glad the price range for these games are at the affordable status but also be aware that each games required times here. If gamers want to get the game before their VC debut, they could always go the expensive way and find them on eBay but if they are smart they could always wait unless if they had short lives to live for that is.
