Neopet Neggs: From Plain & Boring to Expensive & Exotic

Neopet Negg lovers know that they are some of the most hard core collectors at the site. They have galleries that are worth millions of Neopoints and contain some of the most delectable delicacies of the website. You can find Neggs for almost any season or holiday, for any type of gift-giving event or just you basic everyday Neggs that you can take to the Neggery and trade for more expensive and rarer Neggs. If you are thinking about collecting Neggs you better have some NP stashed away because it isn't a cheap hobby.

There are some really interesting Icy styled Neggs; "Icy Negg", "Super Icy Negg", "Ultra Icy Negg", "Ultimate Icy Negg". The odd thing is that the "Icy Negg" is listed as being retied but I have received a few of them from Winter Random Events, mostly in Snowy Valley. They are some of the prettiest Neggs but it can be hard to tell them apart if you aren't look at them from your inventory.

Seasonal Neggs are plentiful but most of them will come from Random Events or as gifts. I've seen a few of them on the Trading Post but they are usually ultra expensive. "Christmas Negg", "Pretty Pink Easter Negg", "Christmas Pattern Negg", "Spotted Easter Negg", "Purple Swirls Easter Negg", "Candy Cane Negg", "Ghost Negg", "Jazzy Easter Negg", "Valentines Negg" and the "Heart Shaped Negg". I have never come across the "Heart Shaped Negg" at the site but I am sure that for a Negg collector, that would be a huge find!

I don't collect plushies but I know a few people that do. There are some extremely adorable plushie Neggs that you ca get around the site. They all have the same type of look to them but have different colors: "Rainbow Negg Plushie", "Orange Negg Plushie", "Grey Negg Plushie", "Green Negg Plushie", "Fish Negg Plushie", "Blue Negg Plushie", "Red Negg Plushie" and the "Happy Negg Plushie".

Celebrating a special moment and want to send someone a Negg to show you how much you care? They might cost a pretty penny but these Neggs are more than worth it: "Happy Anniversary Negg", "Congratulations Negg" and the "Happy Birthday Negg" are great starts but you can also send a "Pirate Negg" to celebrate "Talk Like A Pirate Day"

If you read my other Neopet Primer about the NC Mall and how to get 200 NC free, you might want to use that to get some of the following Negg related items: "Easter Negg Thought Bubble", "Easter Negg String Lights", " Easter Negg Basket", "Easter Negg Glasses" or to jazz up you Neopet page, the "Negg Background". The animated "Easter Negg Smiley Snack" is also as nice pick but once you eat it, that's it, no more treat.

There's more than a few Negg themed things that aren't really Neggs; the cutest is the "Floating Negg Faerie Doll" (Another NC Mall item) and of course the "Glamour Negg Earrings" which are perfect to give for Valentine's Day. You can also get the "Scorched Negg T-Shirt", "Bubble Negg", "Power Negg Eraser", "Negg Faerie Doll" (this is a toy), "Scrambled Rainbow Negg" or "101 Negg Recipes".

If you collect the TCG cards and want to get some of the Negg themed ones, there are a number of them to add to your collection or gallery. "The Negg Faerie", 'Silver Negg", "Happy Negg" and "Cackling Negg are just a few of the TCG's that you can get and for stamp collectors, you will want to get "Negg Faerie Stamp" and "Negg Noodles Stamp" for your online album. Another collectors dream would be any of the Usuki themed toys like the "Usuki Negg Painting Set", "Quiguki Negg Hunt Set" or the "Negg Faerie Usuki Set".

I have a few Neggs in my Spooky Gallery but most of them were rare finds in shops usually way under priced). I don't collect Neggs but I know the passion that goes in to trying to get your hands on anything you can. It might be expensive but it is nice when you get a Neomail from someone paying you a compliment on everything that you've collected!
