Neopet Neopies Voting Update. The Categories Just Keep Getting More and More Bizarre

This is the last week for the Neopet Neopies. Thankfully I have been able to hit it every single day and am looking forward to seeing what the special prize is for casting my vote every day of the event. Even though Neopoints have not been given out as prizes there are have been a lot of high ticket items awarded for voting. Codestones and Bottled Faeries were a surprise to see but more than welcome as they are always good sellers. Most of the prizes given out have been books and some people were complaining about them. To me that's just silly; even if the price drops on them they will rebound so stop complaining and start hoarding!

Day Eleven Voting: Best NC Collectible Item

My Prize: Untold Pteri Tales
There aren't many things that I buy at the NC Mall; I will splurge when there are spooky or Halloween items available but I don't make it a habit of buying normal everyday items. I have bought a few Key Quest Tokens but that's about it. I voted for the faerie background simply because it was the cutest.

Day Twelve Voting: Best New Petpet Species
Choices: Farnswap, Mauket, Ombat, Razumi
My Prize: Bottled Air Faerie
I have to be honest here, I've never heard of three of these and the only reason I knew of the Mauket is because it was given away during a site promotion a few months back. While they are all cute and appealing, I will stick with the Petpets that are currently attached to my Neopets. Even so, getting a bottled faerie just for voting was sweet.

Day Thirteen Voting: Best New Neopet Colour
Choices: Chocolate Draik, Faerie Lutari, Mutant Ogrin, Royal Techo
My Prize: Nimmo Colouring Book
Oh the choices we have to make. Being a chocolate lover I was torn between going Draik or turning my back on the Royal theme. Eventually I went with chocolate. Chocolate wins every time doesn't it? The Nimmo Colouring Book was selling for about 300 NP earlier in the week and yes, I was there buying as many copies as I could get my freaky hands on.

Day Fourteen Voting: Best Neopoint Background
Choices: Beautiful Desert Oasis Background, Krawk Island Silhouette Background, Malicious Dark Faeries Background, Rocky Ocean Background
My Prize: Nimmo Gnome Collectable Charm
Backgrounds are a pretty big deal at Neopets; they allow you to change your lookup page in a matter of seconds. I went with the Malicious Dark Faeries Background because it was the spookiest choice and who doesn't love the Dark Faerie? The prize awarded has been selling cheap but there are more than a few Neopet scams going on with it. It will not change the color of your pet nor will it give you an avatar of any kind if you buy one and "play" with your pet.

This was a no brainer. The Spooky Moon Halloween Mystery Capsule was the only choice for me. I loved the items that I got from it and bought one just to have in my gallery. Even though all of the Mystery Capsules have their own appeal, this one was my personal favorite so far. I only wish I would have started collecting them sooner because I missed out on some really cool Halloween themed ones last year.

Day Sixteen Voting: Let Us Never Speak Of This Again

I was a little puzzled by this category. I can understand people wanting to forget all of the brouhaha about people quitting Key Quest or the screams that people let out when trying to do some parts of the Tour of Mystery but the 13 Days of Trick or Treat? I never had a problem claiming my prizes from this event and the things that were given out were awesome. The book, Speal Tyrannian is selling for 500 -600 NP on the Shop Wizard so if you are in to hoarding, this is something that you need to keep an eye out for while it is still selling cheap.
