Neopets 101: What Do You Do when Key Quest Freezes?

What do you do when a Key Quest mini game freezes? You have to wait it out. Some players are new to Key Quest and if they have to choose a prize it might take them a little longer - even more so if they get to choose a card and a key. My general rule is to wait two minutes to see if it unfreezes. If not I reload the game and start over. You can check the Key Quest Message Board to see if others are having the same problems but more often than not you will encounter a lot of people saying "I AM SO MAD" or something of the like.

Most of the time I notice these freezes when someone is picking a prize from winning a mini game. Another thing I noticed is that is someone is going balls-out in beating you and is really overloading the game it can end up screwing up the closure of it and you end up with a frozen screen. The moral? Don't be greedy. If you know you are going to win the mini game then at least give the other person the chance to score to get the runner up prize of 100 NP (the winner gets 200 NP)

When can you report someone for quitting? You can report someone any time but you really need to have all of the facts. With the game having a lot of issues and glitches due to The Faerie's Ruin plot and Halloween events you never really know when someone is quitting and when they are having true issues. If someone admits to quitting then forward that to TNT but even the stupidest, lamest players are not going to openly admit it. I have received harassing Neomails from people who were "winning" (how can you be winning two rolls in to a game?) who said I quit on purpose. Yeah, ok. Come out of fantasy land and take a look around.

How can you see the number of keys someone has won? Go to their user page and click on their Key Quest Token trophy cabinet. You will be able to see all of the keys that they have redeemed. This only shows keys redeemed so if they have a lot saved up you won't be able to view those. Right now my total count of redeemed keys is: Gold: 57 - Silver: 586 - Bronze: 43 - Lead: 69. So looking at that it is pretty easy to see that I don't quit games if I am not winning. I always play 5 key 2 player games so I am 'guaranteed' to get a Gold or Silver plus the NP from the game (you have to complete the game to win the keys and NP, simply collecting them will not award them to you). When I first started playing I would go for 4 player games; in my opinion they are a complete waste of time and increase the chancces for glitches to happen.

Reporting someone is serious. If you are doing it to be malicious or mean chances are your report will be ignored or you will end up with a violation of your own for filing an erroneous report. It's like the story of the "boy who cried wolf" - report people for no reason and when something legit happens TNT won't take you seriously.
