Neopets 2010 Advent Calendar Day Fourteen: A Neggtastic Find at the Winter Starlight Celebration!

Decorated Negg! Yes! Finally TNT is rolling out some awesome items for the Advent Calendar. That's not to say that the other items have been shabby but Neggs are highly collectable at the site. Not only is it a food item but people collect them for their galleries. Even though this doesn't have any value at The Neggery it is still something that is going to see a lot of price shifts over the next few weeks. In addition to the "Decorated Negg" I also received 944 NP and a "Negg Faerie Poster". That's a Neohome item but I don't see it becoming a rarity any time soon.

With all of the holiday festivities going on a lot of people are forgetting about the darker side of Neopets. There are a lot of scams going on at The Trading Post as well as on message boards. Some of these revolve around the recently issued Advent Calendar prizes and others are regular items like Fortune Cookie. Feeding your pet a Fortune Cookie will not give you a secret clue to hidden riches or treasure. Your pet will get a bit of advice but it won't tell you where to find Paint Brushes or Draik Eggs. Sadly, there are people that are posting on the TP saying that and selling the cookies for 50K. A noob sees that and doesn't stop to investigate it. That is something that can lead to your account being frozen as it is considered a scam.

There's a lot of hoarding going on with the Icy foods being given away with key redemptions from Key Quest. Snow Slushie and Snowflake Slushie can be found for as little as 50NP and an hour later they are over 200 NP. This is where setting a buy limit can help you buy within a set price so you can make a true profit later. I am still waiting for the edibles previously given out by the Advent Calendar to drop to a reasonable level. If they follow the same trend as other Advent items in the past, they should dip below 50NP in the middle of January.
