Neopets 2010 Advent Calendar Day Seven: A Rare Faerie Sighting a the Winter Starlight Celebration!

Miss Fortune
Even though Faerieland is still in the grips of the ongoing Faeries' Ruin plot, today's gifts were a nice find. When I hit the Winter Starlight Celebration page I received 800 NP, "Faerie Fruit Filled Stocking" and a "Gingerbread Faerie". I was really hoping that both items would be edible / Food but only the gingerbread cookie is. The stocking is a wearable item so it is something that will be in high demand next year. Prices on the "Gingerbread Faerie" are still in the 400 NP range so it is a little too early to start stocking up on them.

You can visit the Advent Calendar once a day to receive a gift or two and even some Neopoints. So far each day has gifted us with two presents and some NP. Not bad if you ask me. Everyone is anxiously waiting to see if there will be a "Christmas Paint Brush" or other rare item released during the celebration. As usual TNT will pull some type of prank on us at some point. So far the prizes that have been given out are nice; since almost all of them are classified as Special, this is the only place to get them. Prices will eventually drop when the market is flooded with them so there's no need to panic about the price ranges found when searching the Shop Wizard.

If you are a Key Quest fanatic then chances are you have already tried out the new Ice Caves board and received some winter themed prizes at The Vault. When I checked some of the food items yesterday they were selling at reasonable prices but because this is a month long event the prices will drop even lower. That doesn't mean I am not stocking up but I am not sinking a lot of NP into them just yet.

When shopping for these items set a buy limit on them so you are guaranteed to make a sweet profit from them in the future. Books to look out for include "Snowy - A White Kougra Story", "A Collectors Guide to Snowglobes" and "Snow Architecture". I also managed to find more than a few "Snowy Negg" selling for about 1K.

I'm enjoying sharing Advent with you and the Neopets! I've been missing a lot of notifications and haven't been able to log in, but I'm still a faithful fan of yours.

Great article! I wonder if the faerie spotting is an accident from stretching the plot too long...
