Neopets 2011 Festival of Neggs "Negg Hunt"!

If you have been following the Festival of Neggs and completed the quests then you know Neopets made mention of a Negg Hunt during the event. Well, it's gone live at the site and there is a community challenge underway to collect plastic Neggs. When I started looking for the "Striped Negg", the only one available so far, I found two plastic Neggs that count towards the community challenge. Right now 69,670 plastic Neggs have been found. The total amount needed? Five million. That's a lot of plastic Neggs to find but hopefully it will be as successful as past challenges with other site events.

To get the first plastic Negg you need to go to The Haunted Woods and start poking around. The clues given for this Negg Hunt are vague but you do not have to do any type of quest when looking for it. Some people accepted quests from Edna's Tower, Fetch! and The Esophagor only to later realize that they didn't need to. After I found two plastic Neggs and the Striped Negg I stayed at the Haunted Woods and went through each of the pages again but didn't find any more to contribute to the community challenge.

Right now there are four Negg categories being shown on the main page of the festival: "Striped Neggs", "Polka Dot Neggs", "Swirly Neggs" and "Plaid Neggs". Each section has four Neggs to find with prizes under them. Since only one plastic Negg has been released so far no one knows what the prize names are. They do look like they are new items so once one of the sections of Neggs have been released I am sure that the prizes will start showing up on the Shop Wizard and Trading Post. There is a catch, it says "Choose one of the following prizes" so I am sure people are going to be trying to pick the best of the four options for each section.
