Neopets Altador Cup: Earning Some Prize Shop Credits with "Slushie Slinger"

Miss Fortune
The competition at this years Altador Cup is heating up! People are slinging slushies, playing Yooyuball and making some noise to build up their prize shop credits. These are points that you can use at the end of the competition in the Altador Prize Shop for specialty items. There are four games you can play to earn these credits; "Yooyuball", "Make Some Noise", "Shootout Showdown" and "Slushie Slinger". In addition to these games you can also visit Altador Alley for daily feeebies from Popsicle and Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.

The basics of the game are simple; it starts off slow and progresses in its level of difficulty. There are three different flavored slushies that you have to sling at customers that are waiting in line. At first the game is frustrating because you have to serve the customers, wait for them to drink then collect the cups. Enjoy those few moments because before you know it, things spiral out of control. Scores for the game are five points for every correctly slung slushie (three points for the wrong flavor), three points for catching cups when they are empty. You only get five misses before the game is over. "Misses" happen when a customer reaches the end of the counter without being served, you fail to collect the empty cups or you sling a slushie down a counter without a customer.

The most I have ever been able to score is 604 points; my average per game is about 300 - 350 points. To me this is a game I play five times a day to get NP (you can submit your Altador Cup games five times a day) and that's about it. There are some people that play this non-stop to help their teams standings but it is a frustrating game that usually results in me swearing at the laptop before I walk away from it. The payout per game is low too; you need to get over 500 or more points to get a decent amount of NP. I wish the game was a little more even in how it plays; it starts off slow which is frustrating then gets to a pace that is impossible to keep up with no matter how fast you are slinging those slushies and collecting the cups.

Slushie slinging sounds a perfect game for me! Hope the local Starbucks gals are practicing their slinging in the game instead of in real life, though. :oD
