Neopets Ever Stocked General Store: New Stock Added!

When Neopets opened the 24 hour Ever Stocked General Store it was met with mixed emotions. It offered a shop that sold items around the clock and at somewhat reasonable prices. Hoarders saw it as a huge hit to their inventory because items that they had been squirreling away to resell at a profit were now worth a fraction of what they paid for them. The up side is that eventually everything at Neopets rebounds. People complained when Tarla's Tool Bar was giving away certain items that were huge NP makers and all of a sudden they weren't worth much. Like everything else, the prices eventually go back to where they were. That is a good lesson for people just starting out. If something suddenly drops in price, don't rush to unload what you have. The price will go back up on it.

Here are the new items and price changes. A few things dropped in price, some increased and some are just bizarre! The prices are subject to change at any time; I think the more that an item is purchased (not by an individual but the entire community) the higher the price goes but I haven't seen any major jumps. The most I have seen is two or three Neopoints over a couple day period.

The addition of "Grapes" to the General Store is most peculiar. It is showing up as a retired item that is selling for over 9,000 NP on the Shop Wizard. Maybe people don't know that it is for sale for 52 NP, maybe Neopets made a big mistake or perhaps they meant to sell a different type of grape in the General Store.

I checked my Safety Deposit Box and had 15 of them and they were showing as "retired" items (it showed that I added 54 more so I know the are the same exact item). I even added some to the Trading Post to see if they would show up as an item that was retired and they did. This is really strange and I am sure it is going to irk people that bought them for a high price hoping to make a profit on them. That just goes to show you that nothing is carved in stone at Neopets.
