Neopets Faerie Festival Takes an Unexpected Turn when All the Faeries Are Turned to Stone!

I am sure I was not the only one that let out a loud groan when hitting any of the Faerie portals at Neopets only to receive the message "This area is not available, because all the Faeries of Neopia have been turned to stone!". The conspiracy theorists are all buzzing about what this could mean. I know what it means; it means I can't get my jobs done at the Faerieland Employment Agency or go to the Healing Springs or collect the daily prize from the Faerie Festival. The Hidden Tower is still open but I had trouble buying something from it so it could be a glitch or something to do with the Stoned Faeries.

At this point no one knows if this is the beginning of a plot or just a way for The Neopets Team to shake things up. Whatever the outcome is, lets hope that it doesn't involve the time sucking quests that were featured in the Negg Festival. I am all for quests that involve a lot of steps but there were some that were nearly impossible. Oddly enough, I got a Random Event about an hour ago "For a lost tooth, the tooth faerie gives you 176 Neopoints!!!"

The main portal to the Faerie Festival shows all of the faeries but they have now been turned to stone. I hovered my mouse over all the faeries, flowers, archways and pretty much everything else in the scene thinking that maybe there was something hidden but my clicks were in vain. About the only thing you can access is the Faerieland Colouring Pages; all of the faeries shops, games and events are closed off. How long will this last? No one knows. The interesting twist to all of this would be if it lasted more than a week. Prices on the items that have already been given away during the Faerie Festival would go up as well as items that are regularly sold in the Faerie Shops.
