Neopets 'New' Faerie Quests: I Never Knew There was a Crafting Faerie

Ever since the Faeries' Ruin plot, poor Faerieland has been a complete mess. There were no quests, the Faerieland Employment Agency was not operational and prices on things were in the gutter because there was no true need for them unless you were a hoarder. With the Neopet News giving us a teaser about the "new" quest format there are a lot of people that are miffed about the set up. It remains to be seen if things will go back to a random event where a faerie shows up and asks for your help. As it stands at present moment you can visit the faerie portal to receive a free daily prize (for a limited time) and if you visit every day you can earn a special prize. What kind of quest will you get? You won't know until you accept the invitation but be forewarned, you could get a quest that requires a purchase from the NC Mall and that means you have to have Neocash. This is one of the things that has people in an uproar. The regular quests never required you buy "buy" anything outside of the item that they asked for but you could cull that from your Safety Deposit Box or buy it from a players shop (you are still banned from the Shop Wizard when you are on a quest for a regular Neopet item). I visited the portal and got a Water Faerie Backpack as a daily prize and opted to do the quest from The Crafting Faerie. This required me to purchase both the "Silk Flowers" and the "Spools of Silk Thread" from the NC Mall. Both were 75 NC each.

The prize I received for this was "Silk Wig With Flowers". Was it worth spending 150 NC on it? I have no idea. I am not in to most clothing items from the NC Mall unless they are in the Halloween or Spooky theme. I will visit the portal every day to collect a free prize (which also means there will be a huge drop in the items given out) but I am not sure how many quests I will complete if it means hitting the NC Mall over and over. Some people have said that they received a quest for a regular Neopets item and not something that required a purchase from the NC Mall.
