Neopets "Haunted Faire": Bob for Apples and Get a Treat -- or a Really Mean Trick

Miss Fortune
Now that the Haunted Faire at Neopets has unleashed the Apple Bobbling tank, everyone is in a frenzy to collect the special Trick-or-Treat bags. There are five bags available (so far) and some of the things you can get from them are incredible - then again, there are some people who ended up with junk items and felt really cheated. That's the risk you take. Will these replace the usual Halloween bags that Neopets gives out on Halloween? No one knows for sure yet but I am hoping that they will carry on with that tradition. When you go to the Apple Bobbing Tank you pick an apple; well, you click on the board and it picks one for you. You could get a prize straightaway or you might be asked to go on a quest. Some quests involve going to a lot of different places, others have you go to one spot and you see your prize waiting for you. It is automatically deposited into your Inventory so you will want to move to it your Safety Deposit Box or Gallery before the Pant Devil strikes.

There are some crossover prizes that are also being given out at the Key Quest Vault; people are grumbling about that because the prices are really starting to drop on things like "Glaring Cheesecake", "Fried Worm Stew" and "Vanilla Ice Cream Apple Lantern" but there are some sweet special apples you can win whilst bobbing. The ones that look the best are the "Ghostly Apple", "Petrified Apple" and "Undead Apple" but don't overlook the "Spooky Apple Muffin".

On a side note, "Freaky Pumpkin Bites" are not something that you can "make and take" if you get a quest request to make this item (Culinary Concoctions). Prices on "Spooky Doughnut", "Pumpkin Pie" and "Pumpkin Cookies" have gone through the roof because it is something that you have to make to complete the quest. Please do not believe people that are saying that if you make this recipe ten or twenty times that you will get to keep the item. They are selling the items at outrageous prices and I hope TNT freezes them for scamming.

The five bags that are currently available if you are lucky enough to get one include: "Lost Desert Trick-or-Treat Bag", "Mystery Isle Trick-or-Treat Bag", "Krawk Island Trick-or-Treat Bag", "Moltara Trick-or-Treat Bag" and "Space Station Trick-or-Treat Bag". What can you get from one of them? That's the risk you take in opening one. I have one of the five so far in my gallery (that I received from a Halloween Haunted Faire quest) and when the prices drop on them I will buy the others if I am not luck enough to get them all before the event wraps up.

The Neggs that I want for my gallery are the "Lever of Doom Halloween Negg", "Cap'n Threelegs Halloween Negg", "Cog Halloween Negg" and "Island Mystic Halloween Negg". There is a fifth Negg, "Princess Amira Halloween Negg" but it isn't very Halloweenish. Toys include the awesome "Clockwork Halloween Flizzardo", "Haunted Snowglobe" and "Halloween Kyrii Plushie". The "Pirates Chest" is a Furniture item, not a toy and not something that can be opened so please do not believe the scam listings on the Trading Post. What am I hoarding? "Undead Cheese Wedge", "Ectoplasm Nachos" and "Haunted Brucicle"!

"How To Earn NP The Easy Way" is a sweet looking book but the title doesn't really reflect that; likewise "When Kyrii Predict" is something nice and spooky! The lowest I have seen the "Halloween Cog" selling for is 20K so that will have to wait until the price drops. It is nice looking but not that nice. In addition to Neggs and Books there are also backgrounds and capes that you can get from the bags; the only cape I really want is the "Dashing Cap'n Threelegs Cape" because of the skull pattern on it.
