Neopets Haunted Faire & NC Mall Introduce the "13 Days of Trick or Treat"

The Haunted Faire started out as just a portal for the Halloween season but when the Apple Bobbing event was added and people saw the bags that could be found if you were lucky enough to get a quest things got a little crazy. The prices on three of the items needed to make a recipe for one of them have gone through the roof ("Spooky Doughnut", "Pumpkin Cookies" and "Pumpkin Pie"). That just goes to show you how hoarding seemingly cheap items can pay off big.

Now we have the "13 Days of Trick or Treat"; you can find this at the Haunted Faire page and it takes you to the NC Mall where you can buy bags that you open when the event starts on October 19^th. There are a total of thirteen bags that you can fill but no one is saying what you will get from them. One has to assume that since it is an NC Mall item you will get a Neocash item. The largest pack covers you for all thirteen days; you have to place them on the stepping stones at the gate within the NC Mall and once the event starts you can't go back to claim days that have already passed. Likewise you have to assume that if you miss a day, you miss opening that bag.

The NC Mall has already given away one free bag; the "Glowing Jack-o-lantern Goodie Bag" went straight into my gallery without being opened. It was tempting but I would rather have the actual bag than to take the risk of opening it and ending up with something cheap. While some people complain about the items that can only be purchased with Neocash, Neopets is a business and you are not forced to buy anything if you don't want to.
