Neopets 'JubJub Power Bounce' Game: NC Mall Prizes, Token Addicts

The Latest NC Mall Feature Has Neopets Players Scrambling for Tokens!

As most Neopets players will tell you, the "NC Mall" has become a source of ever-increasing addiction and obsession-even moreso with the latest goodies: "JubJub Power Bounce" tokens and prizes. The tokens are available in the NC Mall in 1, 5 and 10-token packs, retail for 150-900NC--roughly $1.50-9.00 U.S. dollars in value. In an ingenious ploy to hook Neopets players, the site made the first JubJub Power Bounce Token available for free; site users can still redeem this virtual prize on the website, and should be able to indefinitely.

The Tokens are used in the JubJub Power Bounce game, which is essentially a pinball machine. One token gives the Neopets player three chances; each time you pass on a prize, you move on to the next round, with the third and final prize automatically awarded. In typical Neopets fashion, "Limited Edition" items are available. The six original "Uberrific Prizes," which include a background, dress and pair of wings, can only be obtained if your JubJub ball lands on one of the three spinning disks while the disk is gold--which, of course, is roughly a 2-3 second window.

As of July 1st, JubJub Power Bounce had 44 different "wearable" items available as standard game prizes, plus the six Limited Editions. Because the items are NC Mall items, they cannot be bought or sold; users are allowed to trade or gift them, using the gift boxes received upon NC Card redemption or through occasional Neopets site freebies. Each of the 50 available JubJub Power Bounce rewards has a summer theme; a volleyball net background, BBQ grill, sunflower pot and such. Whether or not these items will be retired in lieu of seasonal replacements come fall is anyone's guess, but the JubJub Power Bounce Token Packs are not flagged as Limited Edition. If former NC Mall themes are any indication, users can anticipate updated prizes for autumn, Halloween, winter and Christmas.

Jellyneo, a highly popular Neopets fan site, offers a guide to JubJub Power Bounce. The page includes previews of each of the 50 reward items, which are certain to be updated frequently as Neopets implements new NC Mall prizes. Users who are looking for a place to trade their unwanted JubJub Power Bounce prizes, duplicate rewards or extra Tokens (as if there is such a thing) should head on over to the NC Mall section of the Neopets "Neoboards." Extensive lists of what people are seeking, trading and generally drooling over are available in an assortment of posts.
