Instead of being able to sign up for the 2011 Altador Cup at midnight, we'll have to wait until noon on the 25th to pick our teams. Honestly, that is a pretty big oops on their part, I think they need to grease our palms with free goodies to make up for having to wait half a day to pick a team. Faerieland and Altador Team Cuffs make their debut at the Altador Cup Shop! You can also get the spiffy New Faerieland Altador Cup Jersey and New Faerieland Altador Cup Team Spirit Banners (only on sale until mid July) for 150 NC each. Altador Cup Jersey and Spirit Banners for other teams have also been released and they too are only on sale for a limited amount of time. I have never seen any of the Altador Cup items sell out at the NC Mall but there are other items that do so you never know when TNT is going to throw you a curve ball.

There has been some offsite chit chat about people cheating when using the new "Wheel of Extravagance"; a few people are claiming that they are getting multiple spins per day by clearing their cookies (not true, even if you log out, clear cookies and log back in, it still remembers that you had a spin) as well as hitting the wheel at a specific time to get a specific prize. There are times when certain Neopet dailies can but hit to improve your chances or odds of winning something good but the Wheel of Extravagance hasn't been in place long enough for anyone to peg a "best time" to spin. Moreover they are advertising a "guide" that is "guaranteed" to win you a Paint Brush or Nerkmid. That is one of the oldest Neopet scams going; never pay for a guide because you can get the same information for free elsewhere.
