Neopets News - the Faeries' Ruin Prize Shop is Now Open!

First off I have to thank Jillian for prompting me to do the Faeries' Ruin plot; she helped me with the Altador Cup and was an awesome supporter for this plot. I'd never really participated in them and now that the prize shop is open for it I wish I would have been more active in it. Everyone was waiting to see what would be available as well as the number of points that would be awarded. I was more than impressed with what I was given and the special items created for the prize shop. In addition to the 69,510 points I got for participating in the plot I was also awarded a very cool trophy and an avatar. The Faeries' Ruin trophy is on my lookup page and the "Ruined" avatar looks sweet. Another awesome prize is the 'The Faeries' Ruin' theme. These all appeared on my prize page when I accessed it tonight. Once you refresh the page those awards are no longer visible so take a screenie of them.

The prizes are sweet and as expected I wish I would have done more within the plot to get more prizes. I say that with every site event but it never seems to be enough. Some of the nicer looking prizes include the" Ogrin Master Fortune Cookie" (500 points), "E-Z Brand My First Containment Field" (900 points), "Adorable Wraith Plushie" (1,200 points), "Harmful Faerie Artefacts" (3,500 points), "Captive Shadow Wraith" (15,000 points) and "Noxs Mansion Background" (1,500 points). You can also get a "Faerie Paint Brush" for 40,000 points but the cheapest item on the list is for 10 points and it's the attractive looking "Dangerous Artefact Keyring". Please keep in mind, these are plot points, not Neopoints.

What am I going to spend my points on? I'm not sure yet. I still have a lot of points from the Altador Cup prize shop that I need to cash in and I am pretty bad on making decisions like that. To me its best to see how things go on the Shop Wizard and to snipe the cheaper things and save up the prize points for the more expensive items. Even though I complained about the lack of faerie quests I did love buying all of the food items cheap and I am making a sickening profit on them - Carrot, Peanut Butter Pizza, Clamade, Red Sausage and other items that are high ticket things at the Faerielend Employment Agency are selling well whenever I restock them in my shop. Of course, Red Apple is one of my favorites, I bought a ton of them when they were given away around Halloween.
