Neopets Petpet Park- Game Review

Neopets is one of the leading virtual game web sites, but now they have come up with a new extension to their basic site. Petpet Park is based on the virtual petpets that you can get on Neopets and give to your Neopets. If you loved to look through the hundreds of Characters to choose from, then you are going to love PetPet Park.

Petpets

As of right now they have a limited amount of PetPets that you can chose from right now, but I am sure that, that is about to change when this site gets out of the Beta version. You have the option to have up to 4 petpets to feed and take care of daily. This is kind of like the Neopets version were you have to take care of the pets that you own. You can also choose from the basic colors of red, yellow, green and blue. Later on the game when you collect more points from playing the games then you can go to their beauty salon and pay to change your Petpet to some of the rarer colors like orange and white.

Petpet Clothing

When you start playing PetPet Park they will not have very many clothes for you. They do provide you with some free clothes, but later on you can purchase different styles of clothing for you to purchase. There are 3 ways to go about getting clothing. You can purchase it with your points. This might take a little bit of time because the good clothing or at least the most stylish clothes cost thousands of points, but in time if you play enough games then you should be able to acquire them. Then there is the option to get them by purchasing a certain amount of Neocash through PayPal. If you have a PayPal account this is the quickest way to get the trendiest clothing from the site. Then the last option is to go on quests. Right now there is a limited amount of quests to do, but when they pop up you want to do them because as a reward for completing them you will also receive an item and most of the time it is clothing or a wearable as they quote it. Dressing up your petpet is a way for you to add some personality to it.

PetPet Park Games

Some of the games that they have at PetPet Park are similar to the games that can be found on Neopets. There is some puzzle games were you have to break down the blocks, king of like Destruct-O-Match on Neopets. So if you are any good at that game then this game should be a breeze for you. There are also things like bowling and pinball. Their games are mainly based like Neopets games which it makes it easier for people to load up and play. There games are a little harder to get the points on unlike Neopets, but the good part is there is not quite the limit to the games like Neopets. Neopets stops you from playing games after you have played 3 times, but for Petpet Park there is not that limit. Still unsure how many times you can play, but is based off the total amount of games that you play a day and not just the one game. This is good, because it gives you a chance to build up the points throughout the day.

The Downside To PetPet Park

There is only one thing that you consider when playing PetPet Park or even Neopets for that matter is your internet speed. These sites are both ran on Java and they also require you to have the newest shockwave programs to run the games. So for some this can be a real disadvantage to the games. If you have anything above dial up you should be able to play with no problems.

Petpet Park maybe in the Beta version, but it is soon to be just as popular as Neopets. The only downside is that you have to have a certain speed of internet, but other than that there are plenty of games and fun things to do, to keep you busy for hours.
