Neopets Plot: 'The Faeries' Ruin' Changes Faeries to Stone, Promises Treats

The Latest Plot from Neopets.Com Has Fans of the Site Drooling Over Possible Prizes!

Neopets, one of the most successful virtual pet websites to date, has announced a new plot starting in late September: The Faeries' Ruin. All of the faeries of Neopia, who gathered for the annual Faerie Festival, have been mysteriously turned to stone! What vile creature could have possibly been so cruel, and so powerful, as to convert even Queen Fyora into a stone version of herself?

Plots, which are site-wide events, are open to all players which frequently pair comics, quests and puzzles together with the promise of exclusive prizes. Plots are one of the most popular features of the Neopets website, and the player-base is always quick to complete the steps and solve the puzzles in hopes of landing a special prize, secret avatar or trophy.

So, what makes a Neopets plot so special, anyway?

Most Neopets plots are a mixture of elaborate storyline, "Neopia" lore, and exclusive content. One of the most anticipated prizes is a secret avatar; the icons are used over on the Neopets message boards. The "Neoboards" are full of players obsessed with collecting as many of them as possible, but plot-reward avatars are only available once-and only to participants.

Another popular prize offered after the conclusion of a Neopets plot is a special, limited edition trophy for your "user lookup" page. This profile, which is customizable to a certain extent, is a public display of your accomplishments on Neopets; trophies are a very vivid way of showing your skill, plot prowess and level of activity on the site.

Without giving too much away, the first step of The Faeries' Ruin plot involves Xandra's Library, some special items and a complicated series of movements!

Jellyneo, one of the most popular Neopets fan sites, offers plot coverage with frequent updates, step-by-step instructions and interesting tidbits. Even part-time Neopets players can keep up with The Faeries' Ruin plot, thanks to the people at Jellyneo. If you find yourself confused, stuck on a piece of the puzzle, or if you simply miss a few updates, head over to the plot coverage section of the website to quickly catch-up with the latest updates.

Ultimately, even casual Neopets players come out of the wood-work at the beginning of a plot. The new content, sense of community as everyone rushes to the plot Neoboard, and the potential for prizes makes it a worth-while cause for anyone to return to the site-or try it for the first time!
