Nepeta or Catmint Poem

Sandy James
Nepeta and Catmint are one and the same;
Exceptionally hardy perennial;
Profusely blooms all summer long;
Each purple flower stalk attracts bees;
Twelve inches high or more;
A fast growing xeric plant in the garden.

    Sandy, I have read a number of your acrostic poems and I think they are very cool. Not only are you writing about nature, you are writing about specific flora, with so many tidbits of information about each plant. I think it is very creative how you do the acrostic with a focus on describing the plant.. with the added benefit of teaching a great deal. I think this is a fun way to learn about plants.. great for someone who loves nature but struggles with remembering the little details. :)

    The catmint is new to me. What a beautiful poem neighbor. I get the feeling you have a really green thumb. Me? I can kill plastic plants at the office! LOL :-)
