Nervous Sexual Attraction - Are Homosexuals Straighter Than the Straight?

The cover of this magazine drew me in, almost as if it struck a nerve with my senses...

It simply mentioned "THE SEX NERVE."

Being male I guess, the opposite of the sexes' would point and swiftly move the opposite direction, from this strange man eyes wide and intrigued
by such a simple mention-I found the article fascinating. Something seemed to reel me in to it. My Wife, quickly losing patience in my new found
joy of "reading" motioned to leave. I absorbed all I could in the time granted to me by my leader and placed the magazine back in its place. ( well at least the general vicinity ) The article had implied that a very under-researched nerve was now being more closely looked into, and the results were becoming very, very clear-this was the epi-center of human creation. The nerve which tingles when tickled and babies are born. The sex nerve.

Cranial Nerve Zero, prior to Cranial Nerve One and long before Cranial Nerve Two, is the nerve which opened the world to sexual attraction. It is loosely based nowadays around the sense of smell. The sense of smell was the first sense developed by the creatures of the world. Whales although no longer having a sense of smell, once did- and used this smell to catch pheromones released by their heated up and ready to go mares. Time went on and no-doubt as the size and intellect of these great mammals increased, so did there need for more convenient breathing techniques. This began the evolutionary rise of their blow-hole from olfactory regions to above their head. This detached the blow-hole form their sense of smell, yet strangely they had not over time, lost there supposedly negated nerves. Cranial Nerve Zero, was still in use somehow, was still required somehow, was absolutely vital in the survival of the species.
It became apparent that other senses could trigger the responses this nerve was designed for.

Maybe the sight of a beautiful female could trigger a sense of longing? maybe a brief caress could cause the nerve to twitch. Just like the knee jerk reaction, this nerve could trigger your fondness of the opposite sex, bypassing the more complex sides of reason in your brain. More importantly, in this instance- I am bold to imply, this could be the exact same reason that if the nerve was exposed to over stimulation; the nerve could reset the brain and body to become deterred from the opposite sex. This would allow the brain and body to seek an alternative. This alternative may become the same sex (or none- becoming asexual)
The reaction involved is much similar to a bad memory (molestation, abuse etc) where the person concerned may withdraw from situations that trigger that memory. Perhaps this could warrant further study into strange sexual attacks? The smell or pheromone of the opposite sex to the homosexual would no-doubt
be over bearing. Although it may smell even pleasant in instances, the sexual notes of the pheromone or scent, especially in the heat of lovemaking, would be too much. The pleasure would be removed from any situation the homosexual person would enter into (pheromone present) and replaced by an intense deterrent factor. I would liken this to those who are sensitive to spicy foods. Again maybe the 'dislike' one finds from this is actually an incredibly overpowering
'like' of the substance? I would expect the like or dislike of foods would be attributed to another of the cranial nerves so this example should not be taken as anymore than a simple analogy. ( for assistance purposes only) This is not the only cause of same-sex preference, as many other factors are contributory to this decision (or bodily demand). Psychological homosexuality is no doubt a complete and separate scenario. The Cranial Nerve Zero instance is one I am
particularly intrigued by, as it poses the questions; "Are the gay more attracted to the same sex? Perhaps they are actually more attracted to the opposite sex than they realize..."and this opens the door for true Independence for homosexual persons (homosexuality due to natural causes).

This is an opinion brought about by study and multiple research findings of late. No offense is intended toward any person with any sexual bias.
