The best new movies on Netflix instant for April 2011 include "Gone With the Wind" and Paul Newman classics. Watch these 10 top rated new films on Netflix streaming.

Gone With the Wind (1939): Frankly I don't give a darn. Actually this legendary civil war epic gets 4.2 Netflix stars and the Oscar for best picture. Even if the politics now make you cringe, you may still enjoy the cinematography plus Scarlett and Rhett.

The Producers (1968): Even if you missed it on Broadway, you can sing along with "Springtime for Hitler." The original movie from Mel Brooks gets 3.5 stars and an Oscar for best screenplay.

The Servant (1963): Written by Harold Pinter, this thriller is like a smarter "The Talented Mr. Ripley." A servant plots to take over his master's life. This Netflix streaming movie gets 3.4 stars.

Hud (1963): The late great Paul Newman stars in this classic western based on the Larry McMurtry novel. It gets 3.8 stars.

The Verdict (1982): Stick around for another helping of Paul Newman on Netflix instant. He's an ambulance-chasing attorney trying to redeem himself when a malpractice case pits him against a powerful Boston hospital. Director Sidney Lumet's courtroom drama deserves its 3.8 stars.

Army of Shadows (1969): Get inspired by one of the best movies ever made about the French Resistance. With 3.8 Netflix stars, it's based in part on Director Jean-Pierre Melville's own experience.

The Man in the White Suit (1951): Alec Guinness pulls off one of his funniest roles as the inventor of a miracle cloth that makes his competitors want to kill him. This light-hearted comedy with a serious message about technology earns 3.6 stars.

Romeo & Juliet (1968): Director Franco Zeffirelli creates one of the best adaptations of Shakespeare's love story. Starring Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey, it racks up 3.7 stars.

Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (1983): David Bowie fans might want to catch him as a British prisoner of war who becomes the obsession of a Japanese officer during World War II. I think 3.2 stars sounds about right for an interesting movie with some intense violence.

The Naked Gun (1988): If you find the late Leslie Nielsen hilarious, watch him team up with Priscilla Presley again. This time they're out to foil a plot to kill the queen of England. Warning, this film does contain O.J. Simpson, but it gets 3.5 Netflix stars.
