Netted Bead

Instructions for One-of-a-Kind Style

Gather the following materials:
1/2" base bead
A seed beads (accent color)
B seed beads or rocaille beads (main color)
2 yards of knitting wire 28 to 36 gauge

Note: Using an awl to guide the wire between beads and to hold the loops open while
pulling them through the beads will help keep the wire from kinking and weakening, and then breaking.

1. Cut 18 inches of wire. Thread 6 A about 2 inches from end of wire. FIGURE 1

Go through beads in same direction a second time. FIGURE 2

Tighten circle. Twist wires one turn. FIGURE 3

2. On longer wire end, *string 3 B, 1 A, 3 B*. FIGURE 4

Thread wire through second A from wire on original circle of beads. FIGURE 5

Repeat from * to *. Thread wire through fourth A on original circle of beads. FIGURE 6

Repeat from * to *. Thread wire through sixth A on original circle of beads. (Round 1).

3. Thread wire through first 3 B, 1 A from step 2. FIGURE 7

4. **String 3 B, 1 A, 3 B. Thread wire through next A from previous round**,

in this case, from Round 1. FIGURE 8

Repeat from ** to ** two more times. (Round 2)

5. Thread wire through first 3 B, 1 A from step 4. FIGURE 9

Thread short 2 inch wire end through base bead hold and bend to keep bead assembly in place

around base bead. FIGURE 10

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 three more times. (Rounds 3 through 5) FIGURE 11

7. Thread wire through first 3 B, 1 A in Round 5.

String one A. Thread wire through next A from Round 5. FIGURE 12

Repeat this two more times until circle is complete. FIGURE 13

Go through the six A in the same direction a second time, tighten circle.

Twist two ends of wire together for about two inches. FIGURE 14

Cut wires evenly, and thread the twisted wire back through the base bead. FIGURE 15

Cut close to base bead.
