Neutrogena Moisture SPF 15 Sheer Tint and Untinted Facial Moisturizer

Susan Slade
Two great little bottles of Neutrogena Moisture were given to me at the dermatologist's office. I had gone there for a free 'Melanoma skin cancer screening test', which turned out fine, and came home with lots of free samples.

I have the Neutrogena Moisture SPF 15 non-comedogenic facial moisturizer in untinted, and also the same product with a sheer tint. They are both small plastic bottles, that are the size of the palm of my hand, and the net weight are .5 fluid ounce each.

The Neutrogena moisturizer that is untinted, in pure white, and is a consistency between a lotion and a moisturizer. When I dab it on my face, it doesn't stay firm, but looks as if it is going to run. It is fragrance free.

When you rub it into your face, and neck area, it rubs in fairly easily, but stays wet, and greasy. After using it my fingers were wet, so I rubbed them together, so as not to waste the moisturizer. After 5 minutes my face was still shiny, but less greasy.

An hour later I felt my face, it was soft, and the greasy feeling had disappeared. My skin felt great, and didn't dry out. I was delighted, as I didn't have to wear a sunscreen, as well as the moisturizer.

When I opened up the Neutrogena Moisture SPF 15 sheet tint, I was amazed at how dark the color was. It looked like the color of coffee, that has cream in it. I figured that even with my Florida tan, that was a dark color, even for me.

I poured a little onto my index finger, and then dotted it on my face. It was the same texture as the untinted. It looked as if it was going to run on my face, but stayed, until I rubbed it in. The sheer tint, made my complexion just the slightest bit darker, but only one shade. It didn't cover my age spots. The dark ones stayed the same, and the white ones may have had the slightest of color to them.

Again this product had no fragrance to it. It also had the SPF 15 sunscreen, but I only wear moisturizers during the day, and I wouldn't qualify this as a daytime one, having the color in it.

I would happily buy the Neutrogena Moisture non-comedogenic facial moisturizer untinted, with SPF 15, but don't see any value, or benefit, in buying the sheer tint version.

Both moisturizers worked well on keeping my skin soft, and full of moisture.
