Neutrogena Triple Moisture Conditioner VS. Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Conditioner

Some where awhile back, I'd heard that it was good for your hair to switch shampoos occasionally to avoid residue build-up. I figured that would hold true for conditioners as well. Consequently, I have a shelf full of different hair care products, shampoos, conditioners, gels, and mousses. Some for curly hair when I had a perm; some for thin hair when I made a snap decision to eliminate red meat from my diet; but most are for dry hair, because that just happens as we age-fifty something, ya know.

Since I really can't afford the salon products, I buy the higher priced grocery store brands, such as Neutrogena and Pantene. I have purchased almost every hair product Pantene makes. They're commercials with the luscious, long, silky, sexy flowing hair invaded my dreams, so they invaded my pocket book. Until, I switched it up-to avoid the residue build up thing-and found Neutrogena Triple Moisture Conditioner. It is thick, thick, thick and creamy, as opposed to Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal which is not so thick, but creamy.

Some where, awhile back again; I'd heard that the thickness of a conditioner didn't really make the difference, which is why I continued to buy Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal. Obviously, this bit of information is not exactly accurate, or so I've come to believe. Neutrogena Triple Moisture Conditioner has closed up my split ends, eliminated completely fly away frizzies, and cut down immensely the number of broken hairs in my brush. While both Neutrogena and Pantene claim to be restorative, and to improve manageability, Neutrogena, for me, actually performs.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Conditioner and Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal are comparatively priced, and both come in 8.5 oz. containers. Neutrogena is a white mass of goop, while Pantene is a nice, pearly blue stream, however, I prefer the goop since it works. Both Neutrogena and Pantene are "salon approved," whatever that means. No salon I've ever been in carries either. The salons carry brands like Matrix and Paul Mitchell, which, on a students income, I just cannot afford. So, I'm not sure which "salon" approved Neutrogena Triple Moisture Conditioner and Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal, but I'd like to personally ask the salon stylists which they prefer. If there are any out there, let me know.

I'm sure that it has to do with the chemical make up of each individuals hair, and the ingredients in each product. Neutrogena Triple Moisture Conditioner has a longer list of ingredients than Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal, but they are both so full of scientific names that I get lost in which has what and which doesn't. I know that if I don't use Neutrogena, my hair is very dry and fly away. If I use Pantene, my hair is still very dry and fly away. Seems a simple choice to me.

I think the only way one can make a decision on hair products, whether conditioners, shampoos, or gels, is to try them. Someone with very dry hair at thirty years old may find that Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal works well for them. Maybe, it works better on men. Possibly, Neutrogena Triple Moisture Conditioner has certain ingredients that interact well with the chemical balance in middle aged women. Although, my twenty-seven year old daughter states Pantene hair products dry her hair also. So, maybe it's the chemical balance in my families DNA. And I think that's what it all comes down to when dealing with beauty products in general. You must find the right chemical balance.

In my situation, Neutrogena Triple Moisture Conditioner has the perfect ingredients to keep my hair healthy, shiny and frizz-free whereas Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal does not. Moisture, I guess, is relative when it comes to conditioners. What moisturizes one head of hair may not moisturize another. Try them for yourself. You may find also that Neutrogena Triple Moisture Conditioner works better than Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal.
