The Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser is $14.99, you can also find a $2 coupon at Neutrogena's website. I bought the Wave Power Cleanser and one refill pack, since I think giving it a one month trial is fair. My first impression of the product are very good, I loved the look of it, its pick and very girlie. I think the design is good, and it is small enough that you could take it with you when you travel. The Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser comes with 14 one use cleansing pads. Neutrogena sells refill packs of 30 cleaning pads for just under $10.
When I first used the Wave Power Cleanser I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the way it vibrated and really seems to get my face clean. After using it my face seemed soft but I didn't necessarily notice it being any smoother after the first use. I was worried that the vibration combined with the cleansing pad might be to harsh, but it wasn't. It vibrates very gently and it wasn't abrasive at all.
Overall I liked the product but don't think it is that practical or cost effective. I don't like that you have to use their specific pads, that already have the soap in them. The soap in the pads was not horrible, but I prefer other cleansers. Also if you have sensitive skin or try to avoid products with certain ingredients in them be aware that Sodium laureth sulfate is the second ingredient. I think if you happen to like the cleanser on the pads your in luck and you have a good product. But it is unfortunate for those of us who like other cleansers that this product won't work for us.
The price is another problem I have with the Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser. While the initial price of $14.99 (or 12.99 with coupon) is very reasonable, the price of the refill cleansing pads can get expensive. I wash my face twice a day, if I wanted to only use the Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser it would cost me almost $20 a month in refills. While I am very willing to spend money on facial products that work, I don't love the Neutrogena Power Cleanser enough to make a $20 a month investment to use it.
I think the Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser does follow though on its claims. I think that it does make your skin feel soft and I like how the vibration makes my face feel extra clean. But I don't think it is so great that you would need to spend a lot of extra money to use this product all the time. I think if you are interested in this product $14.99 is not to much to spend to see how it works for you. I think this is a good product to use once in a while in addition to your regular products, rather then a replacement to your daily cleansers. I plan to continue to use my Neutrogena Wave Power Cleanser once a week or whenever my face feels like it could use some extra cleaning and exfoliation.
