The good news is that Neutrogena's new formula with Helioplex does help with the slowing down of aging, wrinkles, and brown spots, which is good news to many. But just because it helps against sun damage more does not mean that you shouldn't continue to apply sunscreen every half hour or so, just to stay protected. No matter what kind of sunscreen you use, even if in claims that it is waterproof and that it lasts all day long, you should always trust what you have always been told about reapplying reapplying and reapplying, although studies with Helioplex state that the special formula does stop the sunscreen from breaking down as much as others do.
You probably want to know how it works right? Okay, well what Helioplex really does is break down light into harmless forms of light, so that the sun can do no such damage to your skin and many other types of sunscreen lotions do. It protects from all kinds of sunlight and the suns rays. If you have a new baby, you may want to keep careful of any kind of suncare lotion that you apply, but I would personally not recommend using it, or even exposing your child to too much sun when they are younger. There are special formulas that help protect against babies younger skin.
The new technology in suncare lotion that Neutrogena is now selling may have a better protection rate, but is is still expensive (about $9.00 per-bottle), doe snot mean that there are other ways to protect your skin. If you do now use Neutrogena with Helioplex, and you do not plan on using it, there are plenty of other sunscreens that offer fine protection.
Remember to re-apply your sunscreen plenty of times this summer, especially to you beach goers out there, and stay safe!
