Neutrogena's New Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock With Helioplex

Neutrogena's newest addition to their already full line of products is a newer kind of sunscreen. It's called Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock. The factor that is supposed to make this sunblock different from the hundreds of others on the market is its ability to be clean feeling. Being that I am a faired complected person and must use sunblock anytime I am going to be out in the sun for an extended period of time, I had to try it.

The sunblock comes in a 3 ounce standup tube. I bought the SPF 70 version. It states on the tube that the sunblock is fast absorbing and leaves skin soft and smooth while being waterproof at the same time. It also states that the sunblock is sweat proof, non-comedogenic, oil free and PABA (Para-Amino Benzoic Acid) free. I was looking for a sunblock that was non-comedogenic and oil free so that it would not cause my face to break out after use. Most sunblock I have used in the face were fine for the use all over my body but when I put them on my face, I had a shine all day long and the next day I had pimples from it. I used this sunblock last weekend while I was out on the local lake on a boat. I wouldn't say it was exactly fast absorbing or left my skin feeling smooth and soft, but it did protect me from burning. It also did not clog my pores. There was no shine to my face like most of the other sunblocks left behind.

Another thing I liked about Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer sunblock was that it contained helioplex, which is a broadband spectrum for both UVA and UVB rays. According to the company's' website, Helioplex helps screen out UVB burning rays and helps stop damaging UVA rays from penetrating surface layers, offering exceptional deep cellular protection. UVA rays also are the main culprit for premature aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, sagging, age spots, broken capillaries and uneven skin tone. I have been complimented on my skin numerous times for how well I have taken care of it and how I will look so young when I get older because I have stayed out of the sun so much. My deep down secret is my avid use for sunblock.

One of the ways you can help prevent skin cancer, if you must be out in the sun for extended periods of time is to wear sunblock. This sunblock product is a great choice for doing just that. To prove this statement, the American Cancer Society has endorsed this product. Ultra Sheer is available is SPF 55 and 70. I purchased mine at Wal-mart for $8.92, which is probably one of the cheaper prices you'll find it for.
