That is what golfing in Nevada offers every individual with an inclination to spend a quiet, enjoyable afternoon with some fellow golfers.

In fact, Nevada offers some of the greatest golf courses in the world from perfectly manicured private greens to amazing public courses to championship and world-class courses. Better still, Nevada offers a pleasant golfing experience no matter what time of year it is. Plus, Nevada has so many different golf courses, that you could spend a month of Sundays and still not have visited all of them.

For those golfers who are looking for some excellent desert golfing and a bit of peace and quiet, the golf courses in and near Mesquite are incredibly popular. The weather is bright, sunny, and warm. The golf courses are varied, challenging, and gorgeous. The desert scenery found in Mesquite is truly some of the most colorful, providing a panoramic display at each of the Mesquite golf courses.

Golfing in Mesquite brings with it the chance to idle away a single afternoon or the chance to spend an entire vacation there. Each of the golf courses provides several different plans or packages with suitable pricing. It is up to the guests to decide just how much golf they need to satisfy their craving for sunshine, tee time, and fun time.

Several of the more popular desert golf courses found in or near Mesquite are explored below with pertinent facts to help golfers decide which course is the right one for them. The Oasis Golf Club in Mesquite is home to two unique public courses: the Canyons Course and the Palmer Course. It is the only golf facility in Mesquite, Nevada with 36 holes. Plus, this gem of a golf facility offers emerald green fairways with four unique signature holes and elevated tees that cause the heart to quicken. Although the hazards on these courses were formed by nature long ago, the enjoyment that can be found there is purely man made.

The Canyons Course has a par of 71 and is spread out over 6,549 yards. It features a lush green tucked in a box canyon. The Palmer Course, designed by Arnold Palmer, is spread out over 6,982 yards. Both courses have the most spectacular desert scenery for backdrops.

Full golf memberships provide access to both courses as well as entrance into the "Members Only" lounge section of the Oasis Golf Clubhouse. The clubhouse also includes a public dining area, full-service golf shop, and a stocked bar for a bit of relaxation once your game is over. The Oasis Golf Clubhouse is conveniently located in between both golf courses.

Private golf lessons are available upon request. Several golf packages are available including the "Eureka Special," which features a three-night stay at the Eureka Hotel & Casino. Plus, three additional year-round packages and two seasonal golf packages are also available for avid golfers. The seasonal packages are separated into a summer and a winter package.

Two miles from Mesquite's center, golfers can find the adventurous Wolf Creek at Paradise Canyon Golf Course. This public course features 18 exciting holes over 7,018 yards with a par of 72. Open since 2000, this golf course was designed by Dennis C. Rider. It showcases the desert landscape beautifully as golfers tee off from every single hole. Tucked in the northeast area of Mesquite, the Wolf Creek Course enjoys the panoramic scenery of the desert as well as the gorgeous weather.

The Wolf Creek restaurant features a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu as well as the opportunity to book the restaurant for banquets. Avid golfers can enjoy the Red Carpet Package or they can plan their own extraordinary golfing vacation with the help of the staff at Wolf Creek. Overnight and vacationing guests can enjoy a stay at the Eureka Hotel & Casino, which also offers fine dining opportunities as well as gaming opportunities.

The Red Carpet Package is offered as a one-night, two-night, or three-night deal. The one-night deal includes an advance tee time with a one-night stay at the Eureka Hotel & Casino. The two-night deal includes the advance tee time, a two-night stay at the Eureka Hotel & Casino, and a round of golf at the Falcon Ridge Golf Course. The three-night deal includes the advance tee time, a three-night stay at the Eureka Hotel & Casino, a round of golf at the Falcon Ridge Golf Course, and the Oasis Golf Club Palmer Course.

The Falcon Ridge Golf Course is located a mere two miles from the center of Mesquite in Nevada's Virgin Valley. Open since 2004 and designed by Kelby Hughes, this public course features 18 exciting holes over 6,546 yards. The course is challenging with elevated tee shots, quick greens, and excellent fairways.

This public golf course has gorgeous mesa views that not only take the breath away, but also set the perfect backdrop for the ware features scattered throughout the course. This course is not for the faint of heart as it also features dazzling elevation changes as it winds through the canyons of northwestern Mesquite.

The Falcon Ridge Golf Club takes in golfers of all skill levels. It is open to groups as well as individuals. Plus, this course often showcases special events or tournaments throughout the year. Falcon Ridge includes several onsite amenities including a full service bar, full service restaurant, a pro shop, conference room, and warm up area.

The Casablanca Resort & Casino Golf Course is located two miles from the center of Mesquite. This public golf course has 18 holes spread out over 7,011 yards. It is situated on West Hafen Lane. Accommodations for group golfing are available as well as golfing for singles or small groups.

Since this golf course is located at the Casablanca Resort & Casino, guests can also get in a bit of gambling if they so desire. The Casablanca dining room has something for everyone from lobster dishes to Italian menus to beef entrees to even more. All-you-can-eat buffets and old-fashioned ice cream are special treats that might just have guests coming back for more.

Open since 1996, this championship course was designed by Cal Olson. From the resort's special golf and spa getaway package to annual tournaments, the Casablanca Resort & Casino Golf Course has something for everyone. The spa is open to both men and women and includes a full range of services such as rejuvenating body treatments, couple's massages, and European therapeutic treatments.

So many golf packages are offered at most of Nevada's finer golf resorts. Simply pick a city, select a golf course, and decide upon a golf package. Once you get there, plan to be dazzled by the scenery, pleased with the golf greens, and reluctant to leave.
