Never Fear the Storm

Jean Davis
Mark 4:37

And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

38

And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow; and they awake him, and

Say unto him, Master, careth not that we perish?

39

And he arose and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, peace be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

40

And he said unto them, why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?

41

And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another," What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"

Never Fear the Storm

Are the storm clouds gathering

to enclose you it seems?

The winds of care blowing wild?

You don't have to give in to the nagging "what ifs",

Especially if you're God's child.

He is the shelter in every storm. He is the Master of the wind.

He only has to give the command and every tempest

will have to end.

We may even need a small storm at times in our life

so we will appreciate smooth sailing.

We should thank God each time He sends His Holy Spirit

to take care of our failing.

We find we grow stronger with each storm we face

like the old oak tree standing tall.

Our courage increases, our wisdom increases.

Hopefully we realize we have nothing to fear at all.
