Never Give Up on Your Dreams

Some of the best advice I can give in any situation is to never give up. You might not be the smartest, fastest or richest person, but if you stick with it, chances are, you will find the success you were looking for. Sometimes life is about showing up. Going through the paces. A photographer once shared with me this advice. You are always being hired and fired as a freelance professional.

Focus on the positive. Keep thinking about what's right and then when something happens that's wrong, you can stay in a good mood. Maybe you are poor. But you have your health. You're married to a wonderful person and you come up with an idea that will knock everyone's socks off. It just takes one idea to work on. Thomas Edison said success was 1 % inspiration and 99% perspiration. Life is about sticking with what you've got and doing the best you can with it.

I have held many jobs, and you always have to give you're all. You can't hold back. You have to learn everything you can about that job and excel at it. Starbucks has been around for 25 years. Did you know that? And only about 10 of those years, they have been in the limelight. They took an idea to the max. Serving the best coffee, with the best people they knew how.

Donald Trump took a small business his father had and grew himself into a media mogul. He has published books and has a TV show and even sells steaks with his name on it. You have to believe in yourself before others will.

Be kind to yourself. Take mini rests/vacations that will rejuvenate your soul. I like to meditate and read the bible. It is full of advice. Have good friends. And fly with the eagles or you'll get stuck with the turkeys. Life is too short to just watch TV. We need to accept that life will give us trouble, but the Lord has overcome them. We have to have faith and peace and joy despite life's little inconveniences. We have to be patient with ourselves and others.

It takes faith in a higher being to face each day with a positive heart. I used to dwell in what was wrong, but until I focused on what was right, nothing seemed to work out. I love writing. I love people. I love Jesus Christ. I love the birds in the field. And I try to give back.

We all need to heal from our hurts and weaknesses and bask in God's love for us. Never give up. Whatever trials you have, Jesus wants to reward you for your faithfulness.
