Never Judge a Book by It's Cover

The Surprise of Susan Boyle

Zenovia B.
I happened to be doing a "you tubing" on Susan Boyle, Britain's new Golden Voice Diva, maybe not Diva in the same genre as Mariah Carey but Diva just the same. I wanted to hear her voice and this is where I found the debut of her on Britain's Got Talent.

When she walked on the stage and announced that she wanted to be the next Ellen Page, the judges and the audience both looked flabbergasted.

Before she even sang, cynical Simon as well as maybe the other two judges had voted her off.

However, when she opened up her mouth and this beautiful melodious voice came out, they became speechless. Simon and the other two judges were pleasantly surprised as well as the audience.

They did what most people are guilty of today (including me), judging or forming an opinion against someone before we get to know them. We form opinions by the way a person dresses, the way they talk, the age they are, where they are from, and looks. And so like the judges on a contestant show we begin to judge people.

What the judges learned on Britain's Got Talent, is to allow a person to first show their talent before they make a haste decision. Once Susan opened her mouth they got to learn a lot about her. 1. She could really sing. 2. She was really nice. 3. She was very humble.

The lesson for you and I.....never write someone off, get to know a person before you form an opinion of them, and never judge anyone unless you are a judge of a contest.
