All my life I have had people tell me that I could not do something I really wanted to do. Well, I would always prove them wrong. And, today, I still prove people wrong.
Sometimes it was and is very difficult to prove people wrong when they tell me I cannot do something. To me, that makes it that more fun. Then I try twice as hard and get it done faster than ever.
I have had people tell me that I would never keep any kind of job for more than six months. I quit a job in insurance only to start a family. And guess what, I was there for seven years.
I have had others tell me that growing up a "Tomboy" I would never be able to be a good homemaker. Well, I have a husband, a five year old son, and I can actually cook very well; I know how to wash clothes and I even wash dishes by hand (no dishwasher and do not want one). (Not the best on cleaning house though!)
I have always enjoyed reading and writing. My favorite and best subject in school was English. Yet, people told me that writing would get me no where at all. They would tell me that writing would never make me any money. Ha Ha! I am proving them wrong right this minute. Oh, and thank you for helping me.
I have had dreams that for one reason or another I could not live out. I never let that get me down though. I have always known that when one dream vanishes, another dream takes its place.
I have had ideas that I have shared, and people laughed at me. Yet, there have been many times I have had my ideas used. I have had many "itches" that I just could not reach to "scratch". On the other hand, I have "scratched" a lot of "itches" in my life.
One of my goals that I have achieved and extremely proud of is that I have read the entire Bible through (and I have read it through twice). I set my mind to do it, and I did it in less than a year. My next desire is to really study the Bible, and I am now well on my way. And nobody is going to stop me!
I have always had a desire to have a chance to give my testimony and tell people what God has done for me. I am now working on that. And nobody is going to stop me!
So, please no matter what people tell you, do not let them stop you from living out your dreams. When someone tells you that you cannot do something, go ahead and prove them completely wrong. If I can do it, I know you can too. Live your dream now, because tomorrow may never come! Good luck and God bless!
